Valorant has the potential to surpass Overwatch as an esport

Valorant’s closed beta is now open to just about anyone who can get their hands on a beta code. The CS:GO / Overwatch hybrid tactical shooter from Riot has been all anything anyone can talk about for the past week. Is it just hype, or is there something else about Valorant that will take the gaming world by storm?

For a game that uses the Unreal Engine 4 it doesn't look so good. It looks more like they are using Unreal Engine 3.

This is purposely being done in order to vastly expand the potential player base and aiming at an extremely high FPS.

Yes but that's what the in game settings are for you can turn them all down :D
Look at Overwatch it does look better than this game but you can turn the settings all the way down for esports players and people with lower end machines, while peopel with higher end machines can maxed everything out.

No it doesn't. Getting a lot of people bored viewing is what it does. If people can't enjoy watching it then gonna be hard getting people interested in it for eSports.

Lol. Hell nah. Blizzard games are always top tier esports games with high praise worldwide. Overwatch also has over 40 million players with a huge fan cosplay/merchandising wise. Not going to get dethroned anytime soon.

As long as it's fun I can see myself playing this, I also enjoyed CS so that's a plus
