Game is full of bugs. - 9.5/10

Pretty much Bethesda games for the last 10 years.

Nitrowolf22004d ago (Edited 2004d ago )

I’m a few hours in on the game for my review

I don’t know what this guy is smoking, he ignores pretty much all the negatives about the game. Bethesda really took a huge step back and tried to go for the whole “you make ur own fun and story” instead of giving people a fallout experience but with friends.

Just from the opening level of the game you can tell how the rest of it is gonna play out. I’m gonna sit there and play through it all, but man this is rough and unacceptable from Bethesda. That’s not to say their games haven’t been filled with bugs prior and those were never acceptable either, but Jeez this is a new low

syphon322003d ago

It’s clickbait, he’s doing it just to be opposite, everyone knows they released a broken game. There’s no way around that one. I’m not even gonna read his article I just wanted to comment because I’m stupid, and I did exactly what he wanted people to do, at least halfway...smh

“you make ur own fun and story”

Ah the classic "we're too lazy to make the game fun, memorable and a creative...do it yourself" approach

rainslacker2003d ago

I do enjoy watching my 5-7 year old cousins making up their own games, as they run around the house playing. Its nice seeing the creativity.

What isn't nice, for a game I want to play where I want more, is that like those kids, these games have no real structure. No real rules. Nothing to do except what you can think of in your imagination.

That kind of thing was cool back in the day when you could often make up your own storylines to games that really had none, or play a fighting game with no story, and think of what it could be. But having grown up, I prefer to have something more meaningful. I don't watch two guys walking around in a video to make up my own story, and I wouldn't have fun doing it. So I'm certainly not going to pay $60 for a game where I have to use my imagination for no reason, because I pay money to have an experience. I can make my own experiences without games, and for free.

Armaggedon2003d ago (Edited 2003d ago )

The game has content and experience s, just not what most people are looking for. Its partly Bethesda s fault for not knowing what their fans like about Fallout games, objectively speaking. I like 76 personally, but all Bethesda had to do is look at New Vegas. "Why are people praising this game so much? What does it do differently?" And that would have help them know before hand that most Fallout fans would hate Fallout 76.

UnHoly_One2003d ago (Edited 2003d ago )

I keep seeing people saying bugs are the problem.

They aren't.

Yes it's buggy, and yes, that is bad.

But the game is awful regardless.

This isn't a good game ruined by lack of polish, it's just a BAD game.

Rockstar games are unplayable messes due to over the top animations, poor response, and in general play like ps2 games and they still get 10s.

Clunkyd2003d ago (Edited 2003d ago )

Please don't compare Rockstar Games to anything Bugthesda makes.
Edit

Sm00thNinja2003d ago

Yeah no. Don't post this nonsense ever again

2pacalypsenow2003d ago

Huh?

What games are you playing?

william_cade2003d ago

and this crass thought that you typed still got 1 like.

Armaggedon2003d ago

Lol. We have a spreader of justice.

neutralgamer19922003d ago

Must be a Bethesda employee or fanboy

Kiwi662003d ago

That's odd as Rockstar games are amongst the best games out there

Gwiz2003d ago

Damn this comparison is really skewed to the max.

Low standards or Bethesda sent a cheque?

frostypants2003d ago

Nah, just clickbait to get that sweet sweet ad impression revenue.

wwinterj2003d ago

Sums it up. You always will get one review that goes against the majority for clicks. Normally from a less known site too.

Mr_Commander2004d ago

Delusional. there is nothing more what to say.

n1kki62004d ago (Edited 2004d ago )

Why because this person likes the game? Gamers are such group thinkers. Now game gets aa good score and its clickbait? Gamers are morons.

Sophisticated_Chap2003d ago

"Gamers are morons"

Speak for yourself.

Vetalka832003d ago

i love the game and have like 90 hours in it already, having lots of fun in it with my real life friends,on the other hand i found rdr2 a boring pos.

0hMyGandhi2003d ago

being a contrarian doesn't make your opinion that much more validated. It makes you stand out in the worst ways possible.

I get that some people like this game. That is just dandy.
But awarding a title a near perfect score does nothing to the community at large.

This is textbook clickbait.

Also, I am happy he included about 10 huge images to make his review seem that much more "thorough"...

Give me a break.

n1kki62003d ago

@sophiticated_chap I was speaking for myself. Is my alias not attached to the post? I wouldn't speak for anyone but myself. But again moron gamers read something they dont agree with so it has to be click bait. Morons in the most literal sense.

Armaggedon2003d ago

Come to realize that some of these people want to see Bethesda fail. Virtually no one is willing to say "Look Bethesda, you guys really crap the bed with this, but we know your better than this guys." That coupled with the severe lack of understanding gets you this massive hate wave. However, it does take two to tango, and Bethesda made some poor decisions as well. If the game was unfinished, perhaps they should have made it free to play instead of charging $60 for it. And honestly, Todd should not have lied and said that this was their biggest project yet that the bulk of the team was focusing on, because it clearly isnt.

BlackTar1872003d ago

Wow nikki6 you're a moron.

JesusBuiltmyHotrod2003d ago

It's a poorly made product by any standard...giving it a 9.5 is just wrong.
