The Legendary Cyberpunk 2077 E3 Demo

There's a lack of video assets or capture, but John has seen a 50-minute Cyberpunk 2077 demo... so what makes it different, special and dare you say it, next-gen? DF have a lot of info to pass on, so they put together this videocast to share as much as we can.

this looks like it will be a lot of fun.

CBaoth2170d ago (Edited 2170d ago )

don't you mean "sounds" like it will be a lot of fun? Jesting aside, if they can achieve that gameplay experience from the original Deus Ex game in a open world setting, this is going to be something special. Hope the next rumored Bioshock follows the same route too

BiggerBoss2169d ago

I'm holding off of judgment until I actually see some f'ing gameplay.

I get that CDPR is a top-tier studio, but this is getting kinda silly.

Just show your fans some damn gameplay, why is that so hard?

SuperSaiyanGod412169d ago

I hear what made the game look next gen was how massive and detailed the world was and how it really looked like the city was teuelly alive with people doing their own thing. I wasn't really hyped for this game but from all the previews my expectations are alot higher now though I'm not a huge cyberpunk fan but the world itself seems very intriguing. Wish we can see the footage.

The Wood2169d ago

This video is a win because I saw a turrican 2 t-shirt. . . You have to be a certain age to know this franchise. . .

Omnisonne2170d ago

Thought the demo itself leaked for a second..

RyanShutup2170d ago

Me too. I think the title is intentionally click baity in that sense.

BiggerBoss2169d ago

Definitely click bait. Not even gonna watch the video.

fenome2170d ago

Same here, I really want to see this in action. Can't believe all we got was an audio leak.

smolinsk2170d ago

Looks nothing like what I imagined, where are the bladerunner/noir atmosphere? Looks to happy pop silly like, maybe when it gets dark it's better but this didn't do much for me.

humbleplayer2170d ago (Edited 2170d ago )

Please read the cyberpunk 2020 manual, the main source material for this game. You will find that it is indeed silly, colorful and have lots of popculture. For example, "Rockerboys " is a class in the rule book which in essence is a rock star.

Cyberpunk as a genre has may facets, Blade Runner is only one of them while this game may be another.
So please don't compare them ,otherwise, you may miss out an awesome experience.

annoyedgamer2170d ago

Its called night city. The cyberpunk atmosphere will be there.

smolinsk2170d ago

I really hope so, I was not hyped by this trailer at all, but hope with some gameplay it gets better with more atmosphere and Charm.

Gatsu2170d ago

Cyberpunk doesn't mean that it always has to be dark and raining, like in Blade Runner.

thisismyaccount2170d ago (Edited 2170d ago )

First they benchmark the foking 30fps rendered trailer of cyberpunk ... now they talk about their experience they had of said demo in a video thats over 10min long.

I shelved it after a few hours in game at launch, glad I didn't refund it. One of the few games I've actually completed in the last year, and after finishing the campaigns I wanted to just jump back in from the start. They pulled a No Mans Sky and finished one of the best FPS in the last few years.

Games That Were Bad on Release, But Are Now Great

BLG writes, "Some of the most popular games have had a rough start, with some of them being downright unplayable.

Despite that, developers have managed to turn it around for them and make their game worth playing. Here are some games that had a rough start but were pretty great."

Good list..hoped to see Street Fighter 5 there..and it is.

Vits30d ago (Edited 30d ago )

Sea of Thieves... I'm not disagreeing that the game has improved in terms of content. But I feel that the most significant change between now and its release is actually the public perception. Nowadays, most people are aware that the game is a multiplayer PvP-focused experience first and foremost, and not "Black Flag made by Rare". Consequently, people dismissing the whole experience because the single-player aspect is lacking or the story is plain are much less common.

darthv7230d ago

Several years ago, i submitted an idea to Rare that would change up the mechanics of battling opponents in the game. whereby if you died in battle, you turned into a skeleton warrior and had to fight your way back to the land of the living. It was an interesting twist on respawning and would allow the player to experience both sides of a battle.

I keep hoping to see something like that get added to the game.

Kaii30d ago

They consider FO 76 & ME Andromeda to be great now 🤭

anast30d ago

Every game in the last 2 decades...

INMATEofARKHAM30d ago

It's sad that this quick retort is more often than not true... The industry's acceptance of release and patch has gone too far.

gunnerforlife30d ago

Days gone! By the end of the game I couldn't drop it down! I went around so many hours killing zombies! It was addictive by the end.

S2Killinit29d ago

That game was just plain good game. It didnt improve, it was just good.

gunnerforlife29d ago

I don't know, I got it abit late, and struggled for a few days, and then all of a sudden it just got good!!
