I own a PS4 and Xbox One and I'm interested. I like the idea of portability cause I travel a lot and can bring it with me. Plus I can never pass up a new Mario and Pokémon game. Portable 3D Mario? Count me in

Kribwalker2695d ago

I own a PS4 and Xbox one as well, I've preordered the switch as well

EddieNX 2695d ago

I own an XB1 and I've pre ordered one. Its an entirely different concept to ps4 an xb1

Aenea2693d ago

If you already own an X1 I'm sure you gonna love the Switch! It has exclusive games!

*ducks*

On-topic: I own a PS4 and I want a Nintendo console next to it I had kinda hoped for something ehmm, else, or more, I dunno. I will not pre-order it but buy it later in the year, depends on more games and more info being released...

* I own a PS4 & XB1 and I'm most excited about the Switch.

This article is terrible.

My Switch is already paid off in full along with a few games.

It depends on if Nintendo has anything to offer you that you can't get from your PS4 or Xbox. We already know the 3rd party support is lacking, but if they can stick to their guns and make the Switch an atrractive option to the portable gaming crowd it won't matter. Not too many people are going to be content with owning just a Switch so forget that, they're not converting too many gamers imo. But it can be an attractive secondary option or additional console to own.

FallenAngel19842695d ago

Why would they? It's not like Switch is getting more games and features than the other platforms

Aenea2693d ago

Because you want to play the exclusive games? I know I do...

PhoenixUp2695d ago

Nintendo has once again proven that their modern consoles are more secondary than primary for most consumers.

JLynn9432693d ago

Umm, I'm a PS4 owner, and I care about the Switch. Nintendo always makes great games. I hope it gets third party support, and I hope the portability and other features are a success. I appreciate that they always offer something different.

The Status of Every PlayStation Franchise

Sony owns a fair few iconic franchises - many dating right back to the original PlayStation. But while we’re pretty familiar with the likes of ongoing series such as God of War, Horizon, and Gran Turismo, there are plenty of PlayStation franchises that haven’t seen the light of day in a long time. So in this video, we’re going to be taking a look at the status of PlayStation’s many IPs, and checking in on when we last heard from them.

Status in one word:

Underutilized.

The end.

anast4h ago

Which ones should they utilize more?

BehindTheRows3h ago

Indeed. We hear this “underutilized” talk as if every old franchise should have a comeback or reboot.

When new IPs start looking like Concord, you can't blame people for wanting another Resistance or Killzone instead.

anast1h ago(Edited 1h ago)

J&D and Resistance are good ones. As much as I love these, though, I'm not sure they would payoff without an enormous marketing push. Younger gamers today do not have taste and the older gamers that would appreciate these might not be enough. But yeah, I would day 1 Resistance.

Well that’s just the consequence of consistently producing new IPs isn’t it. Not all studios can be or want to be like polyphony digital who made gran turismo all the time.

Here lies The Infamous Series; once a shining beacon of free flying, lighting bolt sniping, and wire riding amazing gameplay, it has been laid to rest and be forgotten for what seems like forever despite being loved by millions. Plot next to Wipeout across from NBA Jam.
