just to clarify, while existing PS4's can do HDR now with the firmware update, it is not at the level of the PS4 PRO.
This because the regular PS4 only uses HDMI 1.4 instead of 2.0, and this HDMI standard simply doesn't have the capacity and bandwith to fully utilize HDR, even if you have the best TV out there.
HDMI 1.4 can only really do 8 bit color, so while there might be some improvements on image quality, it is not reaching the HDR10 criteria
The PRO does use HDMI 2.0
