Too bad Xbox One gets the game a week before PS owners. EA Access will be releasing it early to it's subscribers.

Battlefield 4 launching the way it did is one thing. This game HAS to be done properly, or the wrath of a billion neckbeards will never let them hear the end of it. And it likely would be a long time before we had another chance to get a good Star Wars/Battlefront game. Really hope this turns out well, but I'm keeping everything in check right now.

DICE is one of the best teams in the business at doing games like this. The game will be fine. I wouldn't let the launch of BF4 worry you, consider its the first DICE game to ever be made at that team with 5 systems in line all on launch for next gen for a very demanding engine.

I feel they did the best job they could under the situation they where under, as someone who bought BF4 on PS4 day 1, I can say it played ok launch day and still had issues, but now has very little issues after patches.

As someone who still actually plays BF4 currently, I would legit say.....don't put too much weight to what many stated about its issues. I feel many might have exaggerated its launch, I've put many hours in the game, many of those hours the first month or 2.

I'd trust DICE with this IP really before any other team. Issues aside, they do a great job with team based gameplay, I can't wait to see how BF has influenced the ip. ie recon, support, engineer etc.

I'm not talking about what anyone else said. I played BF4 *at launch* and it did not play ok. It was the furthest thing from ok. It was barely playable at all with some modes, and if it did work at least somewhat, the game would crash sooner or later. I'm not saying that situation is the basis for Battlefront, but it has to be done right, regardless.

Well your entitled to your opinion on it as it played fine for me besides a few crashes, can't say much about the modes as I actually only play rush or conquest so I'm not really sure how the other modes fair'd during the launch.

No doubt that Battlefront has to be done right, I think DICE will do a fine job with it. Even with the launch issues with BF4, I'd still rather see DICE do this game then any other team.

bf3 and bf4 both launched with a lot of bugs that werent fixed until months later. i honestly have lost faith in anything that has dice in its name

BF4 was painful for about 4 months. I avoided maps with water because it would have such horrible lag quakes. they did eventually fix it, and im hoping that fix makes it into battlefront

How do you now it wasn't EA NOT delaying the game knowing just how large an undertaking it would be?

DICE is owned by EA, DICE doesn't have much control over such a thing as EA owns DICE and the BF ip.

Your right to wait to see if it works right, but I wouldn't just be so quick to put DICE under the bus because of one game under its circumstances.

I can't just say DICE is a bad team based on 1 game, a game that today actually plays right, just based on a ruff launch. That game should have got delayed a few months, but EA likely wanted to launch with next gen systems.

I got it day 1 on PS4 and still play it today, those issues sucked, but I won't just make it seem as if its common place with DICE games as I got BFBC2 day 1 and didn't have much issues with it, hell I got BF3 day 1 too and didn't have much issues on PC.

I again agree that you are right to play a wait and see, but this game is likely to have less issues based on already being on a established engine, on 3 systems and not 5 etc.

Not saying it will launch perfect as no games do, merely that I would cut DICE a bit of a break as the situation with BF4 wasn't just commonplace as that launch wasn't even commonplace.

I would blame EA way, way before DICE as a team.

edit-speaking of DICE.....where the hell is Mirror's Edge 2? LOL! Thinking about it, I just realized we haven't heard much of the game, hope its at E3!

I don't disagree with you, with all the beast games coming out this year, why spend time on a game that may not work at launch? Consider how fast games get cheap once they are released, if the patch is going to come in 3 months, then I'd rather wait and buy it used 3 months later vs buying it day 1 for lessor quality.

Though I want to get it day 1, I'll wait a few weeks lol, I got a shameful back log anyway.

Quite excited by this game, but when I see three pics of the same image it reminds me to keep a level head. One thing I've learned is that games in the developmental stage often have the best images (e.g.: Dark Souls 2, Watch Dogs); wait and see on this one.

I'm excited to hear the in-game sounds. I can still hear the shots from games like SNES 'Empire' to PC's 'Dark Forces' and 360's 'Force Unleashed'.

There are a ton of other SW games I could list, but you all know what I'm talking about. The piece of hype that excited me the most was the tweet saying something along the lines of "let me answer a question, yes that is in-game graphics" by one of the developers.

Looking at the picture, the blaster seems to have a metal skin. I highly doubt that would actually be the case in starwars universe, though don't quote me on that.
