Review: Grand Theft Auto V - Gamespot

Gamespot:
"I have just spent a half-hour planning the perfect heist. I'm going in smart, knocking out the guards and the staff behind the delicate jewellery counters of the store with a carefully placed smoke bomb, and smashing into each cabinet with the butt of a semi-automatic rifle before making my escape on a nearby getaway bike. I'm reducing my cut so I can hire the best hacker to disable the security system, and a skilled gunman to handle crowd control. And yet, despite my best efforts, with one poorly-taken corner on my bike, it all goes wrong. I should be driving down a dank sewer tunnel, sneaking my way under the city to freedom. Instead, I'm here, mowing down wave after wave of police on the city streets, and for the first time while playing a Grand Theft Auto game, I feel immensely guilty about it."

I was at eb games midnight launch for both GTAV and Far Cry 4, picked them both up :)

Good score btw

Btw, I'm from Sydney Australia and it's 12:36am Tuesday here

they gave it the same score as the ps3/x360 version, and this is the definitive version.. so nothing has improved as what gamespot is stating? I don't get it. but they said "this is the definitive version of GTA V" in metacritic.

smh

Review score has to be taken in mind only at that time when its released, after a month game gets patched and many times improved, then after more time different games gets releases and the gaming bar is raised... GTA5 on PS3 in 2013 was 9/10.. and now in 2014 GTA5 done it again with 9/10 on PS4... taking in mind all other games around!

CoryHG3485d ago

Gamespot is garbage though.

WeAreLegion3485d ago

Sitting at a 97 on Metacritic with 20 reviews. That's not bad at all. Just waiting for that oh so lovely 70 from someone who had a bad day.

4/10 click me click me click me

sugawalls3485d ago

I'm so glad gamespot didn't let the thing review this, this time around. That thing caused enough trouble last time with it's attitude towards men who play GTA.

cemelc3485d ago (Edited 3485d ago )

Oh! thats right... i remember it.

There was some tool reviewer that docked a full point for misogyny or something.

What a tool.

Grand Theft Auto V (GTA 5) Best Settings for Low End PC: RTX 3060/RX 6600/RTX 4060 Laptop GPU

Grand Theft Auto V was released over 9 years ago, but the player base is largely intact due to regular updates to the Online Multiplayer. The game had some technical issues at launch, most notably a CPU utilization issue, but most recent chips shouldn’t have any issues running it.

i think the only real loss is GTAV

OtterX9d ago

I think everyone and their sister owns the game by now. They likely want to squeeze the rest of the holdouts before GTAVI releases.

Profchaos9d ago

That game comes and goes from subscriptions so frequently I think it's expected now. Like rdr2 on gamepass Rockstar Games only last a max of 3 months On a service

MrBaskerville9d ago

Talos Principle is the real loss.

BanginTunes9d ago

Facts that game is good as fuck I'm playing through 2 now, very underrated

Huey_My_D_Long9d ago

indivisible was pretty neat. Cute artstyle, fun throwback to older RPGs, shame its leaving but it is on sale often

shinoff21839d ago

Definitely. I e joyed what I played of it. Still gotta grab the physical at some point

Petebloodyonion9d ago

I'm not surprised by GTA V removal, Rockstar never allows this game to stay long on a subscription service.
They usually allow 4 to 6 months.

lodossrage9d ago

Yeah, they do that routinely with both GTA and Red Dead.

But it's because they know they can still sell them so they take them off and on to these sub services in cycle.

The weird thing to me is why is anyone still buying those games at this point? You would think after 3 generations of being sold GTA 5 that everyone and their momma would have it by now

RNTody9d ago

I fail to see how the loss of an almost 11 year old game that released across 3 generations is in any way a problem.
