Microsoft have made so many PR mistakes this year. They don't seem to know what is wrong (drm on discs 24hr check in, perma-banning Monnlightswami) but they do react to people power unhappy with them.

It's just a shame that they don't know the right thing to do until they are told.

@Saviour Which pale in comparison to RROD which neared 60% failure rates at one point, internal DVD drive (previous-gen technology), HD-DVD Drive (a perpetually pointless external peripheral you had to spend even more money on at that), an external Wi-Fi receiver(one you had to spend yet again more money on) Kinect (that one's all-inclusive and pretty self-explanatory), lack of bluetooth, and the list goes on.... We can measure dicks over the shortcomings of the previous generation, most of which were made a decade ago, and a decade less intelligent, if that's what you'd like. Though it solves absolutely nothing, if that's what floats your boat, I'm sure we'd all be happy to oblige. OR we could point out who learned the most from their mistakes and took the largest steps forward, and who seemed to have spent the largest portion of their time with their thumb up their ass playing catch up.

Told him he wasn't perma-banned and invited him the the X1 launch event. Seems he's happy with the situation so not really our place to complain for him anymore.

I don't want to be unkind here, but there is something about this guy that just rubs me up the wrong way.

I think that MS have had such a rough time of it with all of these execs and PR people that their names are just tarnished now.

At this stage does anyone really respect 'Major Nelson'? I know that I don't! I think its time for MS to get shot of this lot, they have made an absolute pigs ear of promoting the XB1 and worse still, keep on making cockups on a daily basis it seems.

I think MS could do with finding some new staff at this stage. I think if we are hearing the MS staff's names more than the name of their new console then something is going wrong.

Wish Sony had some names , whom would fix our issue which is on going for 9 months; and we have contacted even keep sending and leaving messages to the Customer Service even these days and will keep doing so.

"Sony banned our 6 years old account after we contacted them regarding to a Download list loading issue we had with our account, spent 3 months with customer service over the phone with unbelievable suggestions, we have been yelled at and told to wait 2 weeks and see if the problem is going to fix itself, get a new harddisk, new router and so on and after few months (and even at this time we kept doing purchases, yet with no access to download list , wouldn't be able download anything) issue escalated to the network specialist department and after another month and a half our account got suspended or banned with no further explanation but violation of Terms of Service, now it has been 9 months , we are still emailing and calling , getting the same generic answers and no further explanation.

Not only we had to buy new hardware suggested by Customer Service, we did purchases even with no access to these purchases we got banned and nobody has any information about what is going on, one agent come up with a resolution, well if anyone call this a resolution, offering us a a year of PS+ subscription to use it on a new account!

We will keep this case open until we got what is right, reason I brought this up, Sony has it's mistakes too, some agents you talked over the phone has no idea what's going on and don't have any will to investigate further. Hopefully our concerns will be heard finally so we can keep playing our games just as we did for the last 6 years. Already ordered PS4 and controller camera and games, but honestly not wear the excitement to play. Cheers."

hellzsupernova, we have tweeted him as well, the only reply came from him was suggesting us to contact Customer Service, and I replied back about that we are not getting anywhere even after numerous months never get any reply back. Well I do understand he must be busy and this has nothing to do with him, so he is basically telling us whom to contact.

Lucky that @Moonlightswami 's case gained publicity and then he received a resolution. Hope our concerns heard too, which I doubt.

Once when we were talking to a customer service rep. on the phone and telling them we haven't done anything other than what was suggested by you guys to have our download list issue fixed, and the answer was rather shocking, customer service agent said "Sony reserve every right to ban or terminate any account as they wish, it's a part of the agreement you accept..."

thank you for your suggestion @hellzsupernova , will try again and again... until we got attention of someone from Sony who has control over issues unlike the customer reps. Cheers!

There's a guy on their forums(can't remember his name) that can expedite matters such as this. Used to be at least. Haven't really looked at CS issues on their forums for a while.

Key there is being polite and respectful, it gets you help faster. Not saying you are an ass, just I know some people are. Catch more flies with honey and all that.

Reminds me of the L4D2 boycott situation, remember when the two guys who set it up fought and fought with solid legit points, managed to rally a ton of people on a Steam group page then when Valve fly them out to their offices the two guys totally change their tune....like REALLY change their tune....basically whatever Valve did to them or gave them it was enough to make them go back on everything they stood for.

Now that hasn't happened here but lets see where it goes...

The scary thing is if MS DRM was in effect... imagine that this guy did get ban... it means all his games evening offline mode would be gone... Even if he has the physical game he would have lost everything...
