OXM:Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser is "interested" in creating games for Xbox One and PS4, but insists this wasn't remotely a consideration during development of the resolutely current gen GTA 5. Houser's lot aren't in the business of employing technology for technology's sake, apparently, and they haven't set aside ideas, features or content for any hypothetical future releases.
"Grand Theft Auto" publisher Take-Two Interactive is working on an "significant" cost reduction plan following mixed earnings results for its October-December 2023 quarter
As we have all been graced by the release of Grand Theft Auto 6's trailer, we're ranking the best and worst GTA trailers to date.

PC Gamer writes: "Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming, but don't hold your breath waiting for a Grand Theft Auto Hollywood blockbuster."
Imagine being so rich that another Billion is just not worth the hassle... LoL :) -Sorry just can't relate...
isnt he also the guy that said that games are way too cheap? haha.
i mean i agree with him saying the gta games make them bank ha.
Which is fine, I would much rather all gaming companies just focus on making good games.
"but my own personal feeling is that GTA is America. With [GTA 5], I think, we're very happy with the location. It let us do something iconic"
That kind of kills hope for any GTA taking place out of the states again
Ok so out the country. Thwres really no other place that would make sense. UK? I don't think I could get used to gta full of UK accent
I think new Orleans would be a good place. It has rich areas and ghetto areas. Etc
I think R* could keep repeating their several main US cities and it could work out if they just keep adding features with each generation or so:
- Increase physical size and scale of the map
- More packed with interiors
- More interactions
- More immersion
There's a lot that can be done. Imagine being able to interact with basically everything, or having nearly everything simulated. R* did say their ultimate goal is to create the ultimate simulation. It's clear they're not going to stick to crime, driving and shooting.
There are many places to start. It may be too early, as a gamer to be already thinking about it, but if only in a future GTA just the simple act of car-jacking becomes a challenge, and the NPC doesn't just give up his car.
It's all these little hypothetical features I hope R* try to create that I think will define and add dimensions to each generation.
We need a GTA Canada.
Everyone will be super polite when you steal their cars...they'll offer to give you money to fill up the tank.
When you kill people on the streets, you get piles of coins instead of stacks of bills.
