I just finished reading. Yes, Rockstar are the fathers of all hype. I can't read anything that is wrong with this game so far.

I can't fully judge until I get hands on but saying I can't wait is an understatement

I'm trying to keep my hype as low as possible so I'm not disappointed when it doesn't live up to my idea of what it should be.

I think though, this could be one of those games that actually lives up to the hype and then some.

Sounds incredible, but that first part happens in TONS of games. So, I'm not sure why that got him so excited.

It's open world though so your decisions effect how you play the game it's not like it linear and planned if he wanted to he could of just ghost the bike and slash up some people.

Yeah, but you can do that in Just Cause 2... or Burnout: Paradise... or any open world game with cars.

Floor it to see if you can get past the truck or stop to see if you can brake in time. I don't get why this would be something significant.

Both were only published by Rockstar. State Of Emergency was made by VIS Entertainment and Oni was made by Bungie. It was ported to PS2 by Rockstar Toronto though. And yes it is the Bungie many now know as the creator's of Halo and the soon to be released Destiny.

Man I really hope it lives up to the hype. I had to skip most of the article because I don't want to know too much about specific missions but I did catch that the game instructs you when one of your guys needs help so you have to either cover him or switch to him and help yourself. I like that. I was a little worried the three character system could be exploited by always switching to the guy with the easiest job and letting the AI handle everything. Glad to see they found a way around that.

All you have to do is watch any of the trailers to see GTA5 is a vast improvement over 4.

I've been burned to many times by R*. RDR, GTAIV LA, Noire all good games but all monstrously overhyped and all had the fundemental problem of stilted, clunky mechanics. With next-gen around the corner, I think I'm gonna sit this one out. I hope it is a great game that proves me wrong.

True , I would say it should be a 9.5 unless its san andreas done bigger, badder and with more good side missions, mini games ... 4 was a great game , but not a 10 for me

I still enjoy GTA IV but once this comes out it will take away a lot of my free time. I cannot wait to get it. Unfortunately while I will be getting it on release day I won't actually be able to play it until the 18th. I have to work nights and that means sleeping during the day. At least when I have time off it is for several days in a row.
