2.1 - dont worry i played the game on high end pc

and i removed it from my pc after 20 minutes of gameplay, its that much boring and so slow, just imagine that u r walking a lone in the snow al the time and u cant even run and u have 3 or 4 weapons and u do the same strategy for the few different enemies!

they shoudnt bother with the port and instead make a new game for ps3!

That is odd Mr_Arabic if I recall correctly the entire first mission (your 20mins) is in a underground facility while you are being chaced by a MASSIVE monster...odd I guess you played Lost Planet in the I-hate-This-Game-So-I-Am-Gonna -Give-A-Biased-Comment Difficulty

2.5 - am not lieing about the game

first it started with a big boss fight in like a city then the father of the main character sacrificed him self to save his kid, then somehow the kid got rescued by some people and there is a cute girl there also! then they start to give u the boring missions!! mostly in the snow, i fought some beast that is in the mountain he goes around all the places, and before u get there there is so many flies to keep attacking u! then after some missions u will have to fight the thugs or wat ever who is like bandits etc!! its so boring!!! and all enemies u have to shoot at their stomach where they have the thermal heat thats the strategy u will be using with all creatures there i think, from the looks of it!! i dont have to finish the game to know how it gameplay mechanism is like!! but maybe the story is good because i liked the chick and i did go through the story but gameplay its as boring as hell, at least the forst 30-60 minutes, if later things change dramatically then i might be wrong about this game! and the graphics sucks like hell, its like 3 years old good PC game!! far cry is much better in graphics!!

well honestly the only thing i can tell is there is mre motion blur in 360 version.this is a port but im still buying it cuz i like the game.motion blur is no prob for ps3 as the best motion blur ive ever seen is in uncharted df

What I can tell is that this 'journalist' is a moron. Some things look better on the 360, some on the PS3. Something tells me if the PS3 had more of his precious 'motion blur' he'd be saying the 360 had cleaner and crisper images. There should be some sort of law against anyone writing anything about video games calling themselves 'journalists.' This is getting f'in ridiculous.

5 - resolution picture

It's impossible to have a reel idea which version is best with these pictures. Too small. The colour are obviously different. After the difference doesn't look like amazing.
On multiplatform games. The games for each should be balanced so why try to massive differences.
The exclusives games make the differences. you can see how far the developers can go.

7 - Inconclusive

Comparing an unfinished game to the complete game on an opposing system doesn't really make sence. Also, still screens never do justice to any game, especially when comparing something like motion blur. I mean, talking about motion effects in a STILL screen shot? I didn't jump onto next gen consoles until I saw them in action on the web because I wasn't all that impressed by screen shots in magazines. Then when I saw them in motion, I had to have one! It may very well be that the 360 version will look better, but this is jumping the gun. Wait and see, time will tell, ect ect ect (enter cliched phrase here).

8 - Not that it's entirely fair that LP on 360 -

came out much earlier than the PS3 version (by default), but let's be truthful: The 360 version is real blurry (I see this in a lot of games) and the bloom lighting is usually oversaturated and distorts images far in the background. I know I'll get murdered for speaking the truth, but hey...my doctor says I have perfect vision. =]

I disagree with whoever wrote this.. and compared, just look at the color, more defined in the PS3 version as well as much less pixelated.. much smoother.. plus too much motion blur ruins things IMO.. i can't explain how much i disagree with the writer..

it just seems strange that when the xbox image isn't blurry the commentator says the ps3 has worst textures but when the xbox image is blurry the same commentator says the ps3 has worst motion blur....

Why are people posting stories on a PS3 vs. 360 comparison of the Lost Planet port when the website in question is using the old stock photos from the PS3 version when it was announced back in September?

We saw those same comparison pictures months ago, and yet the final version of the game is a really long ways off. I guess Videogamer.com thinks its awesome to compare finished products to unfinished alphas.

Why cant we make comparisons of the two when....oh I dont know...the final version of the game for the PS3 hits the shelves? then we can all form an "educated" opinion.

There is so much wrong with this article. First the guy is comparing a completed 360 game to an essentially beta ps3 version like they were both ready to ship. I may have had faith in some of the comparisons if it werent for the last pic where he says the blue snow looks better. Tell me please, where the hell in real life have you seen blue snow? the name should be changed. I often wonder how you guys have so much time to be on NG4. I come here for news and I get a lot. I also like messing with the Sony fanboys. I have noticed that there are far more Sony guys here that do whatever it takes to make the PS3 look great. LP is a old a$$ game. Why do we even care what it looks like.

When a game comes out on the 360 (VF5) after the ps3 version is released then there is nothing to justify the 360 version being better other than more time. When the PS3 version is better then it's power. Just think for a second there. We (gamers) have no idea what is all involved in this total process of this game. Just be happy that maybe this will be a better game. In 06 LP was not good at all. The mechanics of this action/shooter was the bad part of the game. The cheesy japanese style cut scenes were bad also.

isnt motion blur often considered a form of texture cop-out? because the system cant handle all of the textures at one time it blurs the images as an illusion to make us think it looks better than it really does.

Why should anyone care about the slightest difference in graphical performance? Ok, if the framerate or anything else that could affect the gameplay differed then fair enough, but 1.) the article starts out as biased and carries on all the way through and 2.) theyre sad for even taking the trouble to make the comparison.
