Guitar Hero 3 is broken

I bought my copy of Guitar Hero in Wal-Mart at launch and they had the controller from gh2 bundled with it for some reason, i bought it anyways, i felt like i should've waited and gotten the les paul, but after reading this i feel a whole lot better. I haven't had a problem with any of my two x-plorer guitars, even the one i got with gh2, STICK WITH THE X-PLORER IF POSSIBLE

I was having that problem with ALL of the frets at random times...before it just stopped syncing with my PS3 entirely. I was waiting for an email response, but it takes 10!!!???! business days to reply to and my warranty expires on the 30th. Now I look up their number. monday through friday only. No holidays. Boy I hope I can get them tomorrow or the 26th-29th, because 10 days is just rediculous.(BTW, I sent the email on the 16th, still no response.)

After this I might just screw it and get RockBand.

Unless having to replace the batteries once a month is a problem. Maybe i'm not being hard enough on my guitar... I don't know. It's my rock band guitar i'm more frustrated with. The damn tilt sensor for overdrive doesn't respond 70% of the time. Very annoying when you are trying to save your partner and end up failing because the damn guitar didn't recognize that you were tilting your guitar with all your might.

If most of the guitars are affected They'll have to do something about it or possibly face a class action lawsuit from thousands of people.

I had a friend that had this same problem for the 360 version. Being a tech by trade, he open the guitar and saw the same problem. His first email response from red octane was the standard, "sorry your guitar is no longer under warranty." After sending a few more emails, he got a response stating that they have reviewed his situation and will send him a new guitar.

Iv never had a problem with my wireless guitar from guitar hero3..... I like the feeling of the newer guitar over the xplorer

GH3 broke the day Rock Band hit store shelves. Activision knows it and is hanging by a thread by not allowing Harmonix to release the controller compatibility patch. Activision = EA. Greedy whores.

I have every GH game and they all gather dust while I play RB.

remember that story that went up a while ago compairing the gamer scores for GH3 for all the different consols wii.360/and PS3? I said that for some reason the wii version was easier. I thought it was dumbed down. As it turns out all along it was a fault in the controls of the PS3 and 360 version. I don't know about the 360 version but They recently updated the PS3 version with a patch, and now my score is doubled. This makes me very happy because not only is it more fun,but I now I know I don't suck.

The game sucked something terrible anyway. (In my opinion)
So I'm going to take it back to walmart on the 26 even tho I bought it like 3 months ago...I know they'll take it.

Hopefully this doesn't become the norm. DEVS rushing out partial games because they can patch it later. When GT2 was bugged DEVS couldn't just write an update to patch the game. They instead had to send everyone a fully remastered CD.

It's sad if buggy incomplete software makes it to consoles. Whatever happened to the high standards that devs once maintained? Now that we have the Internet and ability to patch every mistake missed by the quality control it appears to be being abused. Lately it seems like devs aren't being as professional.

If you receive a game that fails to run its basic features, IMHO your paying to beta test.

Some games just have to be released by the set date that the publisher has told them to, whether the game is broken or not. Money is how the world goes round and spending millions and maybe a couple more is not that viable for publishers who want a quick buck.
