1UP reviews GripShift - One of XBLA's most enjoyable, addicting games yet

The racing and deathmatch modes, multiplayer online or offline, are both very well done and lend themselves surprisingly well to racing controls that don't seem built with racing in mind. Power-ups are thrown into the mix in deathmatch arenas, and it even flatteringly recalls the better moments of Twisted Metal at times. The meager online populace makes it tough to find a full room at the moment, but hopefully, that won't be the case in the long run; GripShift is an excellent puzzle game that's exponentially more entertaining in practice than description (and looks and sounds great, besides), and it needs you to really sink some time into it to understand the appeal.
