my friend has everything on that list except for mass effect, orange box, and pacman......they're all really fun games........too bad his 360 bricked today

Wow, how stupid is Gamepro not to put Gears on the list?! Even though the multiplayer started out great but got annoying over time the campaign and the over all gameplay was just outstanding.

What the he!! are they talking about, Halo3 #11 just on the strength of its sales and online dominance it should be in the top 6 atleast, Gear of War dint even get on the list, the games that s have so called stole its thunder havent sold more clocked in more hours live, exactly what hsve they stolen, Geometry Wars? Pacman CE? I'm tired of these reviewers going all artsy fartsy and nostalgic on us. With information here as my guide it tells me that if I was going to tell someone why the should buy a 360 I should be using a Pac Man and Geometry Wars as selling points before Halo3 and Gears Of War.......Somebody fire this guy.

12 - just completed Halo 3 (spoiler kinda)

i don't understand all the negativity.
I finished it alone on normal, and it felt long and challenging enough. the best bits of halo 1's level design and were strangely still more impressive i.e. the library, the snowy levels where there was the huge war, and you had to take the banshees to those peaks . But halo 3 is still very very good. some of the set pieces were just mindblowing the ending flood levels and the very end. wow.

Mass effect isn't exciting me enough yet, i'm not that far in.

Assassins' creed is pretty cool so far.

15 - Everyone's entitled to their opinion

However I own all those games, and a dozen more, two dozen if we count Arcade titles. Gamepro is out to lunch IMO. Was this list put to a vote? How did they compile this mess?

I can see reviewers leaving the hyped AAA titles off the list just to be different, but Pac Man, Geometry Wars? I spent all of 2 hours playing both games combined and I've owned Geometry Wars since launch. They're good enough to make the top 10? I spent more time with Catan and enjoyed it more.. hey what about Uno, Castlevania, Street Fighter? Did they have grandpa put this list together? Why not add Lego Starwars, and Viva Pinata to while we're at it. I had more fun with all of those games than with Pac Man....

I thought Fox News had a crap list, but this one takes the checkered flag. At least Fox was being impartial, but this list can only be described as ignorant?

Their Mag, and site have sucked for the last 12 years, so I can only assume things are getting worse. Who is supporting this junk mag?

16 - Game Pro is on crack

I am not going to talk about the order. But they need to remove Geometry Wars and Pac Man off that list. And add Gears of War and maybe Forza 2. Everything else I agree. But Xbox Arcade games such as Pac man and Geometry wars does not have enough substance to constitute as a full game. This games are played in short sections. Game Pro officially sucks, they suck always but now it is official. Who in the hell came up with this crap.

I agree with some of this list.. Where is Dead Rising, Crackdown and Gears?? Heck, even Lost Planet provided more enjoyment than Pac-Man..

They should of made a Top 20.. 11 is just weird.. And why break them up into 4 seperate pages.. I don't like the layout of their stories..

First of all, where is gears of war??
Gears of war is the best 360 game out there togheter with dead rising.
Another thing that annoys me is how the heck they can put rainbow six in this list haha.HALO3 is only fun in multiplayer and was a HUGE dissapointment, why is it on the list? well well weird list and goodnight.

...this is not neccessarily GamePro saying that these are the best games, in order, to buy for the 360- just that they are their top 11 (as opposed to your own top 11 picks). Second, "About 90% of that list are just 5 hour generic shooters." What? Even if 90% are shooters (I didn't count) they are among the best shooters available. Half-Life 2 generic? COD4 generic? Halo 3- well maybe (and before you complain, I have all 3 games in the series, so I'm speaking from experience. The multiplayer is exceptional- the shooting experience of Halo has been good to very good IMO. I like shooters but my favorite genre is RPG's). Speaking of which, I'm getting close to getting the Power Gamer achievment in Mass Effect. With Fable 2 coming soon (I hope) the 360 RPG library will only get better.

Power Gamer isn't too bad, you can get level 50 in first playthrough (30-40hours). 51-60 however, is a whore :p

But all in all it's a terrible list, I think i'd prefer an all-exclusives list.

Easy guys. I think it is interesting and courageous that they included Pac Man Championship Edition and Geo Wars.

I think these smaller, lower price / lower budget games need some credit too.

This list is just one of many, its not the only opinion. Clearly they just want to give credit where credit is due. I applaud them for it.

I've played HOURS and HOURS of Pac Man CE & GeoWars, and, its almost always some of the first things that non-gamers are willing to try when they come around -- its easy to get them to pick-up the controller, and they always have fun with these games.

29 - Geometry Wars

deserves to be there. I don't agree with the order or some of the ommisions (Gears) but GeoWars is infectively fun. Simplistic beauty. Simply put - anyone who doesn't like this game sux at it. Proly never got above 100K. IMO Geometry Wars is the best $5 you can spend on XBLA.
