still, its obviously primarily for PC, the difference from when the video switches from xbox (which its still good on) to PC is vast. Im not trying to be mean, consoles just cant compete (ps3 to). Its nice, the underwater is fantastic, lighting, shaders, everything, really nice. But i dont wanna fight underwater, do you?

But, if its alot easier to run than the Cryteck engine (crysis) they could be onto a winner.

Cuz you always compare a finish game to a working progress game,Not released,far from done,still in work, Not finish.
Im sure you are one of these guys that compare Ngs to NG2.

Might breathe some life into the shooter genre. Could have some cool weapons. Hit someone with the rapid decompression gun and watch them bleed from their eyes, neat stuff like that. Concussion weapons would be pretty damaging too. One to watch.

So I'm not up on tech stuff. Does this offer a lot more then say Crysis? It looks cool. Hopefully gameplay will be as good as the way the game looks. However 2009 is a ways off :(

Sorta cool how you can take the battles into the sea. They definately need to change the title of the game however. A year+ a away too damn.

I highly doubt they will show plankton, its too small isn't it? Also Sega should hook up with this engine and make a next gen Ecco the dolphin w/ mermaid babes of coarse.

Well this engine certainly has all the functionality and buzz words you could want to tempt a developer with - but I remain unconvinced by the environments on display, the lighting is producing virtually no contrast and I see little sign of ambient occlusion mapping or many of the other high end lighting thats claimed for the engine.
But its early days, and if all those features are genuinely present, good artists will be able to create some amazing scenes.

Too litle known about the gameplay to judge, but I'm a big fan of underwater environments and I'm hoping there will be some interesting gameplay to seperate this from the crowd. If there is , then I'm 'well sold' and I'll being looking eagerly foward to more information on this at it comes! Count me in for this one! :)

There isn't anything exciting about this engine and water effects isn't that usefull in shooters where most of the action happen on land.

If you want buzz words and effects, the Crytek engine is still king.
