Good news. I'm a fanatic sports gamer. And I can't wait to download it. I will be buying both Nba 2k7 and Nba live 07 at the end of the month. Its such a beautiful time to be a next gen gamer. Thank you Microsoft. Just the download I needed.

I have looked at HD-Videos of gameplay from both games and here are my thoughts:

1. NBA 2K7 graphics look better during gameplay
2. NBA Live looks better in up close shots
3. Player animations look much smoother and realistic on NBA 2K7
4. NBA live does not seem to me to be much of an improvement over last year. The players still look stiff and the animations do not blend together as smooth as 2K7

Overall NBA Live to me will still have a lot of improving to do to catch up to NBA 2K7. However All-Star Weekend will be cool and fun to play on Live. Makes me wonder how good 2K Sports would have been on NFL 2K7.

I never liked the madden series and have always played the 2K series for B-ball and F-ball ever since my dreamcast. Imagine.... 2k Football would of kicked madden's ass. Anyhow I'll download this today and try it out.

...but now that title goes to EA's NHL 07!

The new control scheme in NHL 07 gives you an even greater feeling of control than this game - which I thought wasn't possible! The difference though is that NHL 07 is fresh and therefore addicting as all get out!

I played the NBA 2K demo and it still feels like the same control - granted the animations look amazing!

I just don't think that there will be a reason to pick it up for a while now that I have EA's NHL 07! Seriously, I don't know why 2K didn't implement a similar control scheme in their hockey games a long time ago because NBA 2K has had incredible success using the right thumbstick for a long time now.

The dunks have some force behind them now. When someone goes to the whole and dunks now you have to sit back and go wow. I like how you can do subs in the game now, and have all your plays available. I killed alot of my time online on 2k switching back and forth between everything in the start menu. The game came to life for me when I took Dwade to the hole and while in the air a defender made me switch from my right hand to my left hand but then DWade did a two handed windmill dunk. This was all after crossing over and spinning around a defender.

Agreed. The Demo is Great. I can't wait for the game in a couple weeks. This is definately Next Gen Basketball. I'm getting live too though. Allstar weekend, ect.
