That's funny/stupid that there was a spoiler warning at the end of the review. Note to the author: those generally go where the people start reading, not where they finish.

LMAO I found the informant flag quests dumb as hell too. "Hey I somehow dropped 20 flags standing up in a pattern all over the rooftops and beams in the city, please retrieve them for me so I can go out of town". After the second one I was like "wtf? ok that one was supposed to be a test but again?".

Well, with more than 1 Million copies sold worldwide i think ubisoft is not worried about this fails... Wonder why the 10/10 Mario game only sold 350 thousand in Japan... it is not also a fail ? :P

And once more a far to rough critiq on a great game.
sorry but people seem to loose the ability to enjoy a game by its content and experience rather then by its technique and bugs.
im really sickend with all you pseudo criticicers down talking games and the work behind just because you lost the ability to PLAY

5.1 - Sorry, you fail...
That review is 100% right, the main problem with ass creed is not the stupid technical problems, it's the boring gameplay and idiotic AI. The game sucks.

hmm i dont remember me bashing on lair tbh, i was and i still am very impressed by the art and design, tough lair has some really really serious issues rendering the game nearly unplayable, but you guys are downtalking a really good game with good scores in review too,
Yes sure the gameplay may be a bit repeditive for some, but gta is repeditive too and some hate it because of that, when gta offers minigames its cool when assassins creed has those kinda elements people tend to diss it because they dislike the games glitches.
i totally understand everyone beeing not that happy with assassins creed, but its NOT a bad game, i havent seen any game yet delivering such a huge living historical location with tons and tons of assets, sorry guys but this game deserves much kudos for what they archieved.

I started playin Assassin's Creed and got to my 3rd assassination and seriously got bored of the rince wash repeat gameplay. So i just stopped playin my lil brother continued to beat it yesterday. He was complaining all the way lol!
The graphics are steller but the gameplay is just boring the deficulty level never rises it's just basically the same kill over and over again. Only when you kill the last 2 targets are you faced with a little varity, not challenge as the A.I. is so dumb the game never really gets challenging.
The saving grace for this title is the graphical achivment. The hugh cities beautifully rendered. Also the towns feel like a living breathing environment. You hear venders shouting people talkin insane people pushing you a woman beggin you money and almost everyone looks different. That was really impressive but once you stop and shift your focus back to the game then you realize oh yeah this game sucks. And don't get me started on the crappy ending, hell didnt even know it ended. 6.5/10

well id give it a 7.6. side missions get repetitive but the main game i loved, especially when i had to get that fat man. You just hafta find different and interesting ways to kill people, but the side missions do get big time repetitive. like can't we do something else besides save citizens, climb tall buildings... and you can't skip cutscenes >.>

What this review does right: It makes a few legitimate points.
What the review does wrong: I grew bored with it and stopped reading because he just kept saying the same thing over and over.
For the most part I enjoyed the game (more then this review). What it did right mostly outweighed what it did wrong. It’s not perfect, not even superb but it is better then many other games.

9 - This is why we need a review system For Gamers By Gamers
and I'm hoping Sony implements something like this on the HOME feature and on it's website for us gamers cause editorial reviews really don't reflect the general mind set of gamers anymore.
Does anyone care about what Core Gamers like and want anymore? Everything seems to be catered towards "causual gamers" even damned editorial reviews.
I've done a poll and brief discription on what the User Review system would be like and would like to post this on here to see what gamers think but I don't seem to know how to post stuff like this on this site.
We really need to start really helping ourselves out more as a community cause these editorial gaming sites aren't interested in the community anymore. It's all about lucritive incentives for their sites from PR groups and it's gotten way out of hand.

I don't totally agree with that guy. Yeah AC got some problems, but what game doesn't...And about the fact he can't assassinate his targets, I think he doesn't know how to play. I don't think this game was designed with stealth in mind (maybe overall, but not for assassination to some extend). See, they had 4 historians working on the game, they know what they're talking about. High profile people during the crusade had a huge entourage (still today, look at celebrities!!) so of course if you kill them during the day (which historically is the way it was done, so that everyone could see you) lots of guards are going to run after you...
Yeah AC got it's flaws, but historically, it's pretty good...
