Analyst: Nintendo Wii Will Beat PS3 In Guitar Hero III Sales

Guitar Hero III is already a huge success, having sold over $100 million of product on Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, and PS2 during its first week of release. Sales probably won't be too shabby when it releases on PC and Mac next week, either.

According to Jesse Divnich, analyst for The simExchange, the Nintendo Wii version is predicted to outsell the PlayStation 3 version by a two-to-one margin when all is said and done.

It says when its all over. I think the Wii will probably end up with more consoles sold than the PS3, but I fully expect the PS3 to pick up at some point, not keep the same 2:1 gap.

To each his own, but I don't see the PS3 failing as badly as you do, if you think it will keep about half the sales of the Wii.

I could have predict that. Let see, the Wii sold over 12 million worldwide. The ps3 sold around 5.5 million world wide. Base on the user base, any software that is on the wii and ps3. the Wii version will sell more because of the user base.

Instead of playing a guitar video game, people learn how to actually play the guitar instead?

1. It is more rewarding.
2. You will spend more time learning.
3. You can play ANY song you want to play (with enough experience and talent)
4. You can play in a REAL band (eventually).
5. You can play for your friends, parents, girlfriend/boyfriend.
6. __Insert_Benefit_Here__
etc.

The point is, instead of arguing which console will sell the most copies of the game, how about learning how to play the real thing? Imagine the endless possibilities...

Actually playing 'Sweet Child 'O Mine' or Dragon Force's 'Through The Fire And Flames' (Granted, the latter would require plenty of practice and skill, but you get the idea...
