EA: Good Luck Getting Rock Band

Rock Band distributor Electronic Arts says Rock Band supply will "definitely" fall short this holiday, with big sales expected to barrel through the rest of the fiscal year - and next. "If I were you on the 19th of November, I would get in line outside of your favorite retailer, because we've got one hot product," said EA CEO John Riccitillo.

This is the saddest form of PR. They're doing the old "Buy it fast, cause we'll be short on supplies" BS! People don't fall for that old trick anymore. Ask Jack Tretton. He still owes me like 50,000 bucks for finding PS3s on shelves when he bet 1,200 bucks you couldn't find one.

This type of blatant lying is why I'm disgusted with EA.

Don't think anyone wants rockband? This may be the hottest toy/game of the season. Amazon has already sold through one shipment. They are just telling the truth. Why I hate it too and it sounds like boasting, parents would never have a clue they needed to wait in line for this unless someone told them

And everyone who said they found a PS3 on the shelf, just stop. You know they were sold out. If you found some on a shelf, they may have got a shipment and you got lucky. Stop being so pessimistic.

Everyone I know, including me, is dishing out the $$$ for the bundle the day it comes out. I don't understand why anyone would think this game would do bad... as well as guitar hero has done, why wouldn't a game incorporating every instrument top GH ten-fold? Trust me when I say price won't be an issue. If one person can't afford the game, he'll find 2 others to go down on it with him... one instrument per person.

Do I think I'll have a problem getting it release day? No, I pre-ordered months ago... but I do think there will be a shortage a few weeks after.

Uhh, maybe because this is nothing like GH3... due to the fact that there are a mic and drumset. Believe me, no one would go out of their way to buy this if it was just a guitar and just another GH game... but it's not that at all

I don't see why anyone who wants GH3 could possibly pass up this game, it's everything I've dreamed of since I first played Samba De Amigo on dreamcast.
