Dead Rising is basically the #1 Xbox 360 title out there right now. The only way DR2 will be PS3 exclusive will be if Capcom has decided that they don't like money, and would rather make less of it.

Capcom just can't be that stupid- if anything, DR2 should be totally multiplatform. It would make a great Wii game- I'd love to actually flick my wrist to lob CDs at the zombies. Heh. "Ka-chaaa!"

103 million PS2s shipped and well close to 100 million sold does say alot about fan base vs a 25 million xboxes shipped. and considering that Xbox360 is now free of shortages, one would think that it would be selling in high volumes, seeing that 360 fans say its hottest console, yet the DS, PSP, and PS2 fly shelves. What could the rest of the world be waiting for when the 360 is so "hot"? well my guess is every one wants a PS3 and Wii. that says alot about a "hot" next gen console 9 months deep on market, and a full year come launch of it's competitors this fall. and still aint selling in the volumes it would like ... ok yep. but hey dont bash me i have a 360, you asked for facts and i gave you some number thats all just saying, since all you 360 fan kids tout the 360 as all that, a bag of chips and a soda. news flash... it's not, and very far from it.

You are assuming that everyone is ready to buy a next gen console. Wrong, there are people out there that are just now buying a PS2 or XBOX. Right now "early adopters" are buying next gen consoles, not everyone, and 7 million is a huge number for this market. This holiday season will be the true beginning of the "normal" market catching on to the next gen buzz. Expect to see a lot of 360's sold again this holiday (without the shortages).

because of the high price of developing a game nowadays there will really be no such thing as a full exclusive game, unless the ip being developed is by a first party developer or one that sony or MS owns.you would NEVER see halo on the ps3 an you would Never see gran Tourismo on xbox. but!!!money moves mountains, so one day you could see MSG4 on xbox since sony doesnt own that developer!!so one should expect that all of capcom,ubisoft,EA, games to be cross platform!!because in the end its all about the dollar!!

1st, EGM's "Rumor Mill" is beyond crap...when was the last time they were ever correct? Plus, given the magazine's 3 month delay between writing and printing, do you really think Capcom switched to PS3 _prior_ to the first game's release?

Second, Dead Rising goes on to become the fastest selling Next Gen game...which should put it at the top of the general sales charts.

Third, We just read Capcom's stance on switching platforms with the Lost Planet Interview: "Takeuchi confirms that LP:EC will remain exclusive to the Xbox 360, saying, “Lost Planet is an exclusive Xbox 360 title. Typically when the development team sets out to create a game, we focus development of the title on a single platform and for Lost Planet that platform is the Xbox 360.”

Would you take a hugely successful game and then decide to rebuild from the ground up on a different platform or maybe just upgrade what you've got and release a sequel in less time to make more money...

I'm _so sick_ of the EMG/1UP PS3 absurdity.

15 - Sony can have Dead Rising

I was really hyped about Dead Rising so I bought the game the day it came out. After about 30 - 60 minutes of gameplay I began to realise the truth... this game sucks! Using any kind of projectile weapon is incredibly annoying (except the shotgun). The save system is terrible. The missions are boring. I hate escorting people back to the security room. Everyone I know who has tried it has hated it. Why people want to punish themselves by playing this game is beyond me. I ended up playing Prey instead. Dead Rising will be sold on ebay.

This game sold over 500,000 copies in two weeks in the US alone it will be released on the 8th Sep. in Europe where it will sell just as much if not more. This game deserves to be on both platforms as it would be nice for Sony fans to experience this game.
As for the rumor, that is certainly out of the question, considering that it is already the fastest selling next gen game and DR2 will be no different. Capcom know it obviously and to lock it to only one console is suicide and a huge loss in profits.
Same thing will happen as with Assasins Creed exclusivity.
You got to think objectively and not from your personal fanboyish ignorant point of view.

i find this rumor hard to believe... multi-platform now that is a rumor that is more believeable. with DR selling on the 360 the way it did capcom knows alot of those million (by the end of the year i think this game will see 1mil copies world wide) will definitly come back for DR 2. capcom wouldn't throw away an instant 500k copies of DR 2 that would sell on the 360, that is money in the bank. given its popularity and the fact they are in it for the money it makes more sense it would be released on both platforms.

are worthless, biased, lying, unreliable crap sources. Nothing they say is ever true. The reviews from 1up are especially pathetic (look at the 360 Saints Row review to see what I mean - the guy didn't even play the game). Their rumors have NEVER come true and are totally biased towards Sony. What about RE5 becoming a Sony exclusive? Wrong, Capcom confirmed it's still multi-platform. EGM/1up are fanboys that are desperately clinging to the past Sony success even though it's fading. The PS3 will still sell, but the consoles will have a basically even market share this time around. MS has WAY more money than Sony and can afford more exclusives from 3rd parties. Therefore, it's obvious that the 360 will have more exclusives. Doesn't mean the PS3 will suck, but these morons at EGM/1up keep making up crap to deflect the building 360 hype. Hey, kinda reminds you of Sony doesn't it?
