Dead Rising Sells Over 500,000 In Two Weeks

August 29, 2006 - Today Capcom announced Dead Rising, the company's first game for Xbox 360, has shipped more than 500,000 in the two weeks since its US launch date of August 8.

Will release every one of their major titles on the 360 with success like that. 500,000 in two weeks is amazing for a console that hasn't reached 10 million gamers yet. Dead Rising will easily break the million mark with Dead Rising. Its a great game and I must have for gamers everywhere. 360 gamers buy games. Developers love working on the xbox 360. Its a perfect match. Happy devs, Happy gamers, Lost of money to be made. Thanks Microsoft.

7 - Haaaaay! I'm new!

I just joined today. I would like to say that Dead Rising exceeded my expectations. Upon hearing of a zombie infested mall game, I was a bit skeptical of the quality of gameplay. Capcom has done an excellent job with the title. The demo is just the beginning! The later portion of the game contains more zombies on screen that I thought could be pulled off. I thought the gameplay would get repetitive, however it doesn't. Congrats Capcom. I can see why this game is selling so fast.

8 - How about a Resident Evil...

I sincerely hope that with the success of Street Fighter Arcade, and now Dead Rising, that Capcom is sold on the 360. I for one would LOVE to see a Resident Evil 4 re-release for the 360 (perhaps with some increased graphic quality). This will pump up gamers for Resident Evil 5 (which in no way will remain a PS3 exclusive with this kind of sales potential).
