I take my comments back on the whole 'they dumped the gore engine'. Thank god they didn't... :)

But it looks nothing out of the unordinary though just more added effect no exceptional detail. And somehow every guy he finishes ends up without arms. lol

Jeeze, I hope that is an early pre-Alpha shot of the game, because it looks like it's running on a souped-up version of the Quake III engine, and looks terrible compared to other games out now and out soon. I hope they start to realistically model the limb detachment stuff (a single M-16 shot will not blow off someone's arm or leg, never) and improve the environments. I loved the first two games, I hope this one turns out to be a classic too.

I agree, you can't take an arm off with one shot from an M-16, but I have never seen a man (or alien or beast) do super jumps, shoot super lazer guns, walk around with a chain gun and 800 rounds along with a barage of other weapons on his/her back. And the big kicker is I have NEVER seen anyone get shot and pick up health kits to bring him/her self back to top heath)

It is a game ... I think if we stuck that close to reality, games would SUCK BAD ....

Maybe since I started playing way back in the C-64 / Atari 2600 days I am not so critical when it comes to graphics and rely more on gameplay.

I laugh at all the graphic comments ... come over some day and we can hook up my only Atari or maybe my Turbo Graphics 16 for the AWSOME graphics and then go back to our nex gen consoles and you perhaps we will be a bit less quick to jump all over looks.

The image shows what I grew up with to what I have now ... yeah, I no complaints .. LOL

What is good about this game is people do not fall over and that is it. They roll around on the ground, try to stand back up, anything but a fall over like a dummy death. This is turning into a buy for me.

not impressive. yea, the gore kicks a55 but the game looks really generic. after seeing COD4, killzone 2, and UT3; they'll have to do a lot better than this.

I played Soldier of Fortune 2 until it went out of style. I loved that the series kept it to the basics which for me is run and gun!!

I love this type of FPS. I usually don't play the technical alternatives that are out now like the Ghost Recon series.

Very excited about this news!!
