I mean come on guys, doesn't this strike any of you as childish. Please enough with the dumb flamey stories. Why, does this make you all feel better about your purchase. Why even care, it doesn't even affect you. You have made your decisions to write off a console before even playing the games that come out for it. In my eyes, none of you fanboys are gamers, just wannabe's that want to justify their purchase. And then turn around and become envious of the competition. Real gamers are not platform specific, they enjoy videogames, and appreciate the consoles that make them possible. Fanboys are the ones that hurt the industry more than help. Fake stories, claims, and all around bs hurt this industry. All this fanboyism needs to stop.

It's so frustrating hearing about these constant issues with the console by just reading such articles that I can't imagine the emotional distress experienced by those who are affected.

It's poetic irony that Microsoft's flagship title - that is designed to speed up its intention of winning the market this generation - is actually speeding up the negative perceptions around their consoles hardware reliability. And more importantly, everyone's favourite Meus, is not insured. I'm now taking in donations.

Isn't this "article" completely speculative AT BEST? The entire basis is of which is a bunch of forum posts from random users. No real evidence and no confirmation that a problem does exist. I mean really...Halo causing the RROD? Are you freaking kidding me?

Maybe there is a problem with lockups. But we have no real proof and no confirmation from bungie. When Bungie can confirm it, THEN it becomes news.

Not to mention the WAY in which it is presented is completely irresponsible and breaks several N4G rules.

2.8 - i have had problems with disc errors

i bought halo3 on release day after work, got home and it did not work. the shop was sten closed so i had to wait until the next day to change it, the next copy also did not work.

so i got a refund and bought it from a different retailer, works fine.

It seems that everyone there has an xbox, so I think this is real, personally my copy of Halo does not show the read disc error or killed my xbox but on 9/25 when I inserted the game my xbox got freeze and have difficulties getting on xbox bazar, that never happened, for me this is strange, here is the list updated of what I am talking about, add some to your friends list of you doubt:

Really? Wow, i didn't know it was so sturdy. I've been very careful to avoid overheating since I got mine. Not because I'd heard of any reports of overheated PS3s (has anyone ever heard of that happening at all?) but just because I love it.... How could I ever risk damaging it!?! But yeah I've been extra careful about leaving space around it and if it ever feels warm I point a fan at it. I think the longest I've left it on is 2 days. Very scary to think I wouldn't be able to do that with a 360!

Just wondering. Both their sources were only forum posts of disc read error. Who said anything about it causing RROD? I know 360's over heat but you can't blame the cause of it to halo3. That does suck about the error. Happy mine works fine.

But this is the way of N4G. They dont care how many good games there is in PS3, XBOX 360 and Wii. All they care is the company do well, just like how many people still says PS3 has no games even there are. and How many posts you read about XBOX 360 RROD and their answers are "Suck to be you". Yup that's the way it is. As long as Bungie and Microsoft made money, they are happy. Why?

1. They don't have the problem. If you do, suck to be you.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. These problems are a bit out of hand, but it's ironic that they paid to hype the game, yet at the same time paid to hype the systems numerous flaws. Still sucks though for people who can't enjoy their games, as an owner of all three systems I can honestly say Halo is a great franchise.

Mine and every real xbox player I know has not had a problem. Some people don't know how to take proper care of electronic equiptment and software. And also watch out for the sony boys, they are out for some blood lately. Not having anything great to play on that waitstation is starting to hurt real bad.
