The recent Microsoft's pre-TGS conference finally showed the first trailer to Infinite Undiscovery, Tri-Ace's upcoming RPG for the Xbox360. In the latest issue of Japanese publication Famitsu, further details were revealed on the title. The main antagonist Capel is known to many as the "Capel, the flute player and healer". The young man's appearance is similar to the legendary hero Sigmunt, and he is mistakenly arrested and jailed by the Sealed Army. The game's heroine is Aya, a member of the Resistance Army, who attempts to rescue Capel without the knowledge that he is not actually the legendary hero.

@#2 - People complain because MS doesn't have any RPG's or games that appeal to Japansese and then when they do people like you still find something to slack them for...

WTF are they supposed to do then?? Just give up!?

Oblivion and Mass Effect disagree with you. The reason Blue Dragon didn't sell well is because it sucked. Good RPGs will sell on the 360.

ummm oblivion and mass effect are not JRPG's where as this is. Im talking about real hardcore rpg's, ie VP, FF, Arc the lad, White night, Star ocean, ect....oblivion is basically an fps with a lvl up suytem, and mass effect is basically a third perso shooter with a lvling system....do your hw plzzz...this game wont do good on 360....its has a storyline for one....and not that much blood and gore...so it wone do well on 360 haha

4 - A Definite buy for me!

As an avid rpg fan, especially TRI ACE games! I must get this game. Blue Dragons only fault was that it wasn't promoted. I didn't see any comercials for it on TV (which I feel is essential nowadays) to help people see that there is more then mature FPS's on the 360. I really think MS should double or Triple its efferts in the marketing dept. Blue Dragon is an incredible game which only gets better as you progress. It should not be overlooked.

5 - no offense to Tri-Ace ..

this title will go into Infinite mediocrity in sales in Japan for the 360. It will do much better here in the states. It will do about as well as Blue Dragon ... but then again, is the Xbox 360 audience a JRPG audience. I don't think it is.

I'm not bitter, I'm stating an opinion and I'm also tracking the JRPG reception in North America for the 360. As a business man, this just doesn't make sense.

7 - Fanboy sub topics are more talked about in here than the real topic.

I'm thinking info of this game is being shared, for a person to quikly claim its going to flop in Japan, its going to do OK, its going to be average is FANBOY talk its the most effective way to bash it because nothings known about it because Sony fans are mad that any JRPG is on the 360. This thread has nothing to do with floping in Japan.

Its fanboyism to say anything other than "sounds great" or "not my cup of tea", not enough is known to pick this title apart.

The recent Microsoft's pre-TGS conference finally showed the first trailer to Infinite Undiscovery, Tri-Ace's upcoming RPG for the Xbox360. In the latest issue of Japanese publication Famitsu, further details were revealed on the title.

The main antagonist Capel is known to many as the "Capel, the flute player and healer". The young man's appearance is similar to the legendary hero Sigmunt, and he is mistakenly arrested and jailed by the Sealed Army. The game's heroine is Aya, a member of the Resistance Army, who attempts to rescue Capel without the knowledge that he is not actually the legendary hero.

Battles are in realtime and player will encounter enemies in the field or dungeons so the transition between exploration and battle will be seamless. You will face several situations like an ogre chasing after the players to the point of even trampling the rest of the enemy soldiers, or you might have to run and plow through the blazing fire of a giant dragon.

Infinite Undiscovery will be shown at the Square-Enix booth at the Tokyo Game Show event starting tomorrow. We hope to bring you folks more on the game very soon.

11 - LOL people keep agreeing with #2.5

Oblivion isn't a shooter and can be played both in 3rd person and 1st thus it not being a First Person Shooter(FPS).

Mass Effect is a 3rd person tactical shooter being an RPG at heart it has GRAW and GoW gameplay thus it not being a Fist Person Shooter(FPS).

Project Offset isn't a FPS either. The Sony boys do not know what a FPS is yet use the notion to bash. lol

Only a rabid idiot would agree with # 2.5.

How can you Sony people support such ignorance. Like calling Ninja Gaiden 2 a JRPG because of sword use.
