Eurogamer: THQ pulls Conan into Sept

THQ has brought the release dates of Conan and Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts forward to 28th September. Conan is the gory and adult-themed hackandslasher for 360 and PS3, created by developer Nihilistic Software.

You play as the beefed-up barbarian of Robert E. Howard's imagination, and go around chopping limbs off and battling mythical beasts using all sorts of button-mashing mayhem. It was down for release in 2008 just over a month ago, before the publisher's dwindling financial results saw it pulled forward first to October, and now even sooner.

Should have kept it in October now it's gonna to be overshadowed by Halo 3. Still it will be nice to finish up playing Halo 3 and having the option of playing a gory 3rd person action title.

4 - Damn I dunno about this !

The game is/was coming along nicely, but nothing sucks more than a rushed product, and disgruntled workers being rushed on a project, I do want to play this game, even thought I know it will be MEH, but I would have enjoyed it.

If they take there time, work hard to make sure the product is decent despite the deadline, This could still be a fun game.

I'll get for Nostalgic purposes.

This is very good news.This game looks very nice!
And Conan and Halo 3 is diferent genres-third and first person actions.
I don't think all other games must be afraid of Halo 3 release date.The world is not gona stop on 25-28th september you know...;)

6.1 - Here I was thinking

There wouldn't be space on the shelves for other games b/c Halo 3 was coming out.
I thought thats the reason why people kept saying this game or that console is doomed when H3 is released.
Fact is the only thing H3 is competing with is other FPS on the 360 plain and simple.

Why would anyone rush a game just to bring it out this month. That is just silly

I hope the game is good but i will have to wait 2 get it. Two games in one month is enough. I just bought Motorstorm for 30 bucks. Maybe i will wait that long to get it.

Change that. I traded in NNCA Vegas and Sigma and got HS and Motorstorm along with a year subscipttion to game informer for 40 bucks

so i bought three games this month. Warhawk HS and Motorstrom...100 bucks

the last videos and picts i've seen look like beta quality stuff. i hope thats not what we're getting... it would be such a waste for this franchise ,just waiting to do well in the gaming arena, to be once again strifed with lackluster delivery. the last good conan game was on the apple IIe and commodores... i mean c'mon boomerang axes? awesome.

13 - Can anyone say "Bad Move"

This game had a good shot at getting some good sales, until they moved it right next to one of the biggest games ever, coming out on the 25th. hmmm.. who is the genius who thought that would be a good idea.

I don't know about you but the Gamestop near me is already at halo madness level. People are rushing in to reserve, how in the world can this be good for your game if right now the gaming world is watching and waiting for halo 3.

I can't see how Conan will sell well now.. but I wish them luck.

if this game is coming out that soon. I haven't heard that much about it but I think earlier is better. Not everyone will be Playing Halo 3 so at least there is another good choice.

This game is interesting purely for the fact that it is certified as Adult only (18+) in the UK which is something I thought Sony didnt do.

I am pretty certain I will get it unless it gets ripped apart in reviews.
