"Blue Dragon may be the first Japanese RPG we've seen in a while on the Xbox 360, but it's also totally forgettable, telling a story that didn't beg to be told in a game that doesn't do much to stand out. If you're into role-playing games, you'll find that Blue Dragon is long and mostly serviceable, but it doesn't give you much back for all the time you'll spend on it. Let's hope there's another RPG for the platform soon that gives us more to sink our teeth into."

How can three known japs design such a bad game. Sad sad sad. But hey ya, there is still hope with Eternal Sonata and I actually hear it's good. Then I again I heard Blue Dragon was good.

1.7 - All turn based RPGs should be 6s.

I bought and played a bit of Blue Dragon, and it is a great JRPG. But the truth is that JRPGs need to advance beyond cutscenes and turn based combat.

Also, Blue Dragon is a Dragon Quest clone, and DQ never did well here. But gamerankings is at 79% with 21 reviews, which isn't bad.

It got a 9 and 8.75 from Game Informer. As an owner of the game, I think Game Informer got it right, and Gamespot got it wrong.

7 - I hope these mixed reviews for the past week (s) on ambitious games makes everyone learn

8.3 - well i dont mind waiting next year for 2 of the best RPGS money can make.

I played eternal sonata demo and its ok but im not excited about it or mass effect. Might rent Mass effect if the demo is any good. Played the Folklore demo on the ps3 and its a great RPG thats had so much praise its being made for the psp.

the game is a love/hate one obviously by the polarization of the reviews. Seems like a standard JRPG fare, nothing too new but that I see as a quality, a solid JRPG on 360 isnt such a bad thing even if it isnt a classic

16 - I have been way too into Two Worlds to have time to try blue dragon...

But my 10 year old son and his friends absolutely love it. I have watched him play here and there and it looks fun and the graphics are top notch too. I just can't find time to try it with Two Worlds and Bio Shock....Then Halo 3 will be here in a couple weeks...WOW...Too much...

P.S. Obviously people either love it or people think its "OK"....There are a lot of scores from repitable sites giving it 8's and 9's....then there are some giving it 6's and 7's....I could care less. I'm glad I bought it. My son love it and I will give it a whirl in a few months....

I find this post more disturbing by the fact that NASIM is posting it. This douchebag of a PS3 fanboy has posted mostly garbage on this site. I think anyone with 100+ ignores should never be allowed the priveledge of posting news, especially 360 news. This dude makes multiple accounts, constantly SPAMS every 360 thread with his garbage comments. I will definately be sending an email off to the admins. I have no problems with someone who doesn't agree with me and even the Mart keeps it civil, but this guy never plays nice.

This game has its moments but what I really hate about it is (1) that you have to go around searching every goddam thing just to make sure you don't miss out any goodies, (2) the story chugs along very slowly and the 1st disc is downright boring. So I'm not surprised at the low score.

Have you REALLY finished of the first disc?? Or are you just agreeing with someone else's review/opinion? I'm only a couple hours into it, and I think it's like MANY rpg's. A story has to build. EVERY Final Fantasy has a slow start (Yes, I've played them ALL...1-11)

The story is great, and disc 1 is a blast.

If you really did like disc 1 (to each his own), then I guess you'll really love the game because the pace picks up at disc 2.

I find this some what humorous b/c I just bought the game a little while ago. At Game Stop and the guy that sold me it kept on raving about how awesome it was, he's like man I've been playing it and I love it, its 3 disks with 200 hours of game play. I was like cool, I picked up Wild Arms 5 too and he said that was good too. So I'll be trying them both out soon I hope their good.

Edit: Bladestar: above me man hey man its okay for everyone to have their own tastes. But weirdo? I'm in the US and I've been playing these weirdo games for a long time. You cant just play a demo and judge a JRPG. Going thru the game is the only way to get the true experience. Developing story, stoping at towns doing side quests, searching for hidden weapons and armor. The fighting is only one aspect of the game. And to me is second to the story, but hey
we all like different things. Me I'm happy to see a old school turn based jrpg every now and again. But its all good.
