Haze Live Gameplay Demonstration Video at PAX 07

New video developer walkthrough showing vehicle gameplay as well as melee and gun play in the upcoming Haze. Great preview, shows a lot of good gameplay, which starts about 7 minutes in to the video.

This game looks like competition for Halo. Luckily its only for PS3 and the PC, because if it were to arrive on 360, gamers wouldn't even know about it because of Halo3, and it wouldn't make much money on 360.

The Halo fan base is going to run over this game. They could release a simple box with a Halo picture on it and it will outsell this game. You will be hard pressed to compare these two games with the amount of hype and bias placed on Halo.

P.S. I'm not saying Halo is a bad game, so don't read what I said the wrong way. Halo probably would have the edge in an unbias comparison, but Haze isn't a push over.

That was one of the best interviews I've ever seen. That Haze guy was a lot of fun to listen to. If he wasn't drunk, I can't even begin to imagine how it would have been if he was.

I originally wasn't too interested in this game, but with more and more features being leaked out, this game has started to prove itself. The visuals are there, and the gameplay features are there. This game can hold it's own. I'm glad with the variance between the rebels and troops. I'm glad they actually have different elements to them that will actually affect your choice when choosing between the two. They really focused a lot on the differences between the two character types, and it shows.

My only concern now is how they will balance the two character types out. A lot of games fail in areas like this, when there are vital differences between character selections. It is a hard balancing act. Considering the detail going into this game, I'm sure it will be fine.

14 - I guess it's OK to be somewhat inebriated in the beer capitol of the world...

the developer was creating a little comedy with his gangsterized impression of the game.

I'd like to see some more original invironments than just boulders and palm trees,.. and how about some structures that aren't just a collection of different size boxes.

there hasn't been a great use of geometry in this game but I guess they still have 6 mos to finish.

maybe shooting guys in the nectar pack with prove entertaining in multiplayer.

so far it looks like far-cry with a slightly futuristic face lift.
