1.3 - Wow so many disagrees!

i don't get it, if some people aren't even interested in the game, why come to the comments on it and just start disagreeing with every positive comment about the game. That is really childish. I'm starting to wish this site had an age limit. These fanboys are getting to be very irritating. But it is really sad though, and truly pathetic.

Anyway the game looks awesome, people don't realize how good the graphics are and the attention to detail Bungie does. A lot of it is because of the vast color array, but i like that about Halo, it has it's on art style. Everyone wants every game to look the same, and then they scream they want diversity after they get what they cry for. This game is different, and it's going to rock. Plus it's Scifi, why do people try to put real into Scifi, that's why it's Scifi!

I'm trying to beat Halo 1 and 2 on legendary before 3 is released. Maybe Bungie might do something if 3 detects the other halo's game saves, maybe just wishin'.

@ Dareaver: lol, i was doing the same as you when my 360 broke, i bet tons of people are replaying the older games. now that my 360's back, ive been practicing halo 2 online. halo 2 legendary, with jackal snipers, was annoying dude, i didnt have the patience for it all

I love my Xbox360 just as much as anyone - but this games Story and Graphics are going to be blown away by the likes of Half Life 2 Orange Box.

I would not be telling the truth if I said I was not looking forward to this game.

I especially like the shot of the Elite with the light radiating from the plasma rifle.

That is one thing I noticed about Halo 3. It is really rich with color.

You don't see a human face, you just see people in suits, that's why you don't think the graphics aren't as good. But go back and take a look at the detail of the characters and scenery, and you will see that the graphics are top notch.

I have to agree with beavis here. The characters do look sharp and, overall, fairly impressive. However, the environments do look rather bland in many screenshots, and the lighting could use a little more work. In all, however, the graphics have come a long way. To me, there is no doubt in that.

Virtually everyone who owns a 360 went on and on and on about how the KZ2 teaser trailer was CG. A month or two ago one of the Halo 3 developers tells everyone that their teaser trailer was using the "in-game engine." Guess what? No rabbles. Anywhere.

Aside from gaming double standards, I'm not expecting this game to be that great. Most of the team that developed Halo 2 and now Halo 3 were not a part of the original and best Halo. Thats why I think (notice the word think) Halo kicks the living sh!t out of Halo 2 and is going to take a tremendous turd on Halo 3.

pretty impressive, I like how there's different hubs for each kind of species.

It isn't the best graphically, duh. But instead of that you get the most dynamic and entertaining gameplay of any game to date in the FPS genre.

i had to click the agree button, just cause you had none lol. i dunno how you get so many disagrees; im 21, been playing FPS since wolfenstein, doom, and dukenukem3d, and no other FPS lets you hop like a super-bunny while lasering a b!tch in the face(bunnyhopping can be annoying tho). or fly out of a man-cannon to hi-jack someone out of a banshee. or throw a trip-mine into the mancannon and take out two people on the recieving end. so many "holy sh!t" moments from this game

Those graphics although exellent are not amazing. No point comparing Killzone 2, the only thing Halo 3 and Killzone 2 have in common is that they are both FPS; graphics wise they both go in a totally different directions.

The graphics are not next gen but they are an obvious improvement.

But halo is more than just great graphics. Least we forget gameplay, story, characters, sound, MP & SP.

That's why it's my favourite shooter.

Huh? actually Im convinced its got great gameplay for you guys, but to say that its got some impressive graphics is stretching it.

The game doesnt deliver under the trailer that was hyped to be in-game (neither did Killzone 2, which is where I know you'd go for the first blow). But calling the fony boys to be denial, is a pretty ironic statement.

The graphics look nice, but they dont raise it to a new standard. At. All.

Anyway, the halo fans will probably enjoy this game. I heard alot good things about it, but it doesnt interest me.

And yes, Im saying this as a PS3 fan.

I've always been a Halo fan. Im not an xbox fan but i love halo. However this series is getting tired to me. The graphics really are old gen meets next-gen. Its a kind of cross between the 2. The graphics aren't bad by any means, its just kinda...meh. And so the arguement rises of Gamplay Over Graphics. Fine but Halo 3 seems to continue the exact same gameplay that was in the previous 2 iterations. Same old halo. I played Halo 1 and 2 solid, but Halo 3 looks to offer little in the way of new things. No i haven't played Halo 3, but everything i've seen of it points to gameplay regurgitation. Its getting boring. Its not fresh. That's why im looking forward more to Killzone 2. I never bought the first one but Killzone 2 looks to be incredibly advanced in graphics, physics, AI, which all in turn helps make great gameplay for an FPS. I really would've bought a 360 had Halo 3 been new, exciting and intense (like the 'starry night' trailer). But I'm all Halo'd out

They added new weapons, vehicles, enemy's, that could be considered new and fresh but the graphics are 100X better then the first 2 HALOs. If it was new and fresh as I think you are talking about then it wouldn't be HALO. HALO 3 is the final chapter of a trilogy. You didn't see STAR WARS change anything except graphics since the first one and neither should HALO 3.
