Fair enough saying that Doom was the first but a FPS powered by decent technology was always going to happen at some point.Doom pretty much nailed it though and is a brilliant game still to this day - perfect game really and had a FPS come on to the scene before Doom ,it probably wouldn't have been so perfect.The reason i'm a little negotive here is because this guy seems to take this massive pride in creating what would have happened at some point anyway - it's not as if FPS wouldn't have come about if it wasnt for Doom for crying out loud.

Anyhow this looks real nice and big respects to Carmack and his mighty brain.
