Quake coming to XBLA

id Software has announced that its next project for Xbox Live Arcade is called Quake Arena Arcade, based on the ever popular Quake 3 Arena FPS.

7 - The SHIZ!

Raven completely botched Quake4 for X360. I was hoping that someone would come forward to put Q3A on XBLA. It ran well on modest PC setups and with texture compression, could be extremely compact, especially with XBLA's new size limits. Can't wait!!!

8 - We'll see...

A ton of effort would need to be put into Q3's controls to be playable on console. As it is, the freaking sequel to Quake 4 failed as an online title for that reason...even UT3 could face problems do to inadequate controls.

Also, I could fire up Q3 on PC and play any time I want, so I don't see how this benefits me.
