Remember when Epic daleyd the reale of UT3 (and we just hurd they had something goin with Sony) turned out its exclusive.. Same thing with Haze and Ubisoft.. Now we hurd Sony is workin something out with Take-Two and the game is gettin delayd now, Exclusive anyone?? dont flame me thats just a theore cus it happened before and may just happen again no one knows.

The obvious reason is no major game is ever released without getting delayed once. Since GTA4 has been annouced it has gotten that specfic 10/31/07 date. The delay did not suprise me.

If it was PS3 difficulties, they would still release the 360 version. All other companies do.
I personaly thought both demos looked $h!te. Needs to be way polished up and the frame rate sucked balls.

Well I think the Manhunt 2 has something to deal with it. Everyone knows that GTA is going to sell regardless if it's released during the holiday season or not. They just now finally appealed the rating and with the review board all feeling high and mighty will still prob give it that AO rating thus R* is going to have to pull resorces to edit it down. So they took the head start and pulled resorces already for it. Seeing that Manhunt 2 has this nice little controversy about it now it being released during the holiday season is more of a must now for with controversy gets sales and specially even more sales seeing that everyone buys more stuff during the end of the month.

I sort of had a feeling that the game would be delayed. R* didn't reveal much at E3 or elsewhere and it seems as though the game wasn't finished.

*IS* Rockstar is struggling with the PS3’s Cell processor ? Just where was GTA IV at this year’s E3? It wasn’t in the Sony stand, oh no. A fact that led many to believe Rockstar was giving Sony the cold shoulder for reasons unknown. Consider also that all early previews of the game were shown running on Xbox 360 consoles and that all screenshots were also taken from 360 builds.

A Rockstar spokesman even alluded to the problems faced when making the game run on the complex Cell processor, stating that the games production was still “a week or two behind”. It’s no secret that the Cell is harder to program for than the Xbox 360’s more familiar architecture, but could it be so nightmarishly complicated that those extra months are needed just to get to grips with it???

if you're wondering who was really at fault for the delay - ask yourself why is R* releasing their next 2 big games (LA Noire and Unnamed new IP) as PS3 exclusives?

Then ask yourself is it a coincidence that PGR4 couldn't fit car models with damage and day/night cycles on the same disc and that GTAIV with car models with damage and day/night cycles in development for the 360 is being delayed.

Once again MS has to pin all their sales hopes on a single franchise - Halo.
