1UP Transformers Review

Transformers is one of the most poorly designed games to hit consoles this year. How they could take something as intrinsically cool as giant transformable robots fighting each other and make such a broken, mediocre game is a question for the ages.

The cover is almost the same as their bionicle game, which also scored below average, guess some missed that hint.

3 - I bought this game and -

would rather watch PBS for 8 hours straight than play it. Horrible. I give it a 2/5 only because "TRANSFORMERS" is printed on the box; otherwise 0/5.

3.1 - I played it for about an hour.

and I completely agree with you Madden. Some of the worst camera control I've ever seen and the human characters and car models look absolutely horrible. The destructable environments are nice and I do like the robot melee battles, but that hardly makes up for all that is lacking in this game. Transformers could be such a huge franchise in games with a rich story and it was a damn shame to see it wasted like this (again). Give this IP over to someone like Insomniac or Epic and actually get serious about it.

it seems to happen time and time again. If the Games to Movies don't suck, then surely the Movies to Games will. Why can't anyone do either one of these right?

On topic -
This game blows and I hate that I forgot it @ home when I picked up Sigma today, but I guarantee you it will be returned to GameStop.
Note: When you you see this game: Transform and roll out in the opposite direction.

@MK below - don't even waste your time man. If you enjoy your collection now, DO NOT add this to the list ~ just keep on playing what you've got.....better yet save that money and buy Sigma unless your tired of the series already. Me, I likes. =]

i rented it for my son, HE doesnt even really like it.

thanks guys; you just saved me the $8 rental. why can other games with robots and mechs rule, and transformers games are crap every release? mechwarrrior team needs this license.
