The Darkness in Stores Today for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360

2K, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., announced today that The Darkness is now available in North America for Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system. The Darkness is a next-generation, first-person action game that features an immersive and gritty storyline written in collaboration with famed comic book writer Paul Jenkins.

Just got mine for the PS3, then tomorrow I'm going to pick up Rainbow Six Vegas. From what it looks like, we are going to have game releases for the PS3 every week till xmas. Man, I going to be broke ;). The good news is that they extended the Warhawk Beta until July 3rd so at least I will get a little bit more time on that one.

I thought Rainbow Six was being shipped today, but EB games changed the date to the 29th :( I think it'll be here on the 30th...I hope it changed back though.

How is the 2006 game of the year, Oblivion for an AAA title, Billy boy? That one came out in March, four months after launch. Call of Duty 2 is pretty good too, although the coolest launch title in my opinion was Condemned, but I don't think it was a big enough hit to be called AAA.

6 - This game is incredible!

The Single player campaign is excellent! Has one of the best opening sequences I think I've seen in a game.

I would recommend a purchase on this one.

I'm still at work, so the only thing I can do now is just re-read the manual over again :( The back of the box did say that this game is in 1080p so I can wait to fire this up on my Samsung 61" 1080P LED DLP TV...Woo, that was a lot of acronyms

the 360 and PS3 versions look identical, but the PS3 version has more video content for the TV's in the game. So, basically you can sit down and watch a whole TV show instead of short clips..
