Project Sylpheed demo now available on Marketplace

Microsoft just released a brand new demo on the American and European Xbox Live Marketplace. It's a demo from the space shooter Project Sylpheed from Square Enix. The game has been in stores in Japan since last year but the exclusive Xbox 360 game will be released by the end of this month in America and Europe as well.

The demo contains one singleplayer mission wich should give you a quick taste of the space shooting experience created by Square Enix. The demo weighs just over 600MB and is available for download as of today. The full version of the game will be in stores June 29th in America and Europe.

Square has produced nothing but garbage since the mid 90's. I hope they can regain their former glory, but Project Sylpheed sure as heel is not it.

I could of swore, this game was buried. We hear a lot about the FF series. I wonder why not this game. I guess this is Square Enix, just throwing scraps at the 360. Oh yeah I wonder which "TEAM" they have working on this game?

Last Remanent is suppose to be a good game on the 360 and we have been hearing alot about it in the press. Maybe there is a reason Square kept this game quiet. It is not one they are happy about so don't speak on it. Last Rem will be good though so wait for it.

I had high hopes for this game...but...well...lets just say I am lowering my expectations now. Better to be surprised than let down.

Tenchu Z is a great example of that...I had high hopes...and then played it. Gameplay was decent enough ...but again graphically it's a major let down. So...if it were $40 I might buy it...but full price $50+ I just dont feel justified to do that. Not when there are plenty of other games coming where the developers took the time to really put in a polished game both gameplay and graphically.

I heard it's actually pretty good if you're a fan of that genre (and I am), only controls are not really fit for a gamepad.

11 - The game isn't even

made by Square. It is made by Game Arts. So as far as 360 getting hand me down crap from Square, Bladestar is right...Square is just the publisher. Final Fantasy 11 was also crap as it was just a PS2 port.

Bladestar is also right about Squares brand loyalty to Japanese products. The install base of PS3 is too small so they put Dragonquest IX on the Nintendo DS. A series that has been on a console ever since it was created. Square could have easily put it on 360 since the install base is about 4 times PS3 and made a good profit.

Capcom has already proven that a Japanese company can make a good profit on 360. They stated that 90% of the sales on Dead Rising were made "outside" of Japan.

partly right. 360 is not a proven RPG seller at all. Blue Dragon moved a few copies in Japan but nothing for Square Enix to look there way. DS has rpgs that sell well Square Enix saw those numbers and liked them. Sure DQIX could of come out for 360 but as I just said it's not a proven RPG seller and 360 has the 10+million user base but half of that is in the US which don't fancy the RPGs to much.
Yeah Lost Planet and Dead Rising sold well but they ain't no RPG.

It's not a clear cut 'they done us wrong' senario just yet.

Dont know why everyone is so surprised by all the crap Microsoft want us to pay for from years gone by.

I also deleted this game after just 2 minutes of what looked like total garbage with useless control system.

i am afraid that 99% of the content on xboxlive service and Majority of limited crap on the playstation store aint worth diddly squat..

And this is what we all bought next generation consoles for.....Jokers!!!

And to add insult to injury the crap game took 2 hours to download for me to delete it seconds after.

I wonder if they can monitor what content we delete on our consoles and what we think of the crappy retro game they offer.
