Overlord Demo on Xbox Live, PC Demo Next Week

Overlord is an original next-generation title from Age of Wonders developer Triumph Studios. A 890mb demo is now available on Xbox Live, while a 1.2Gb PC demo is expected next week.

Cant wait to try this out! Never really heard much about the game but it kinda looks and sounds promising from what I have read and seen recently.

Its soo good owning a 360 knowing you get all these great demos and trailers and gamerpics and themes awesome stuff!

3 - I just finished playing it...

It's good, although the camera needs work. They've tied both movement and the camera to the left stick which is a mistake I think. Other than that, it's fun and original. Visually it's very similar to Fable, though with better graphics and that's a good thing.

They've got to fix the camera though or at least give you some customizable options for the controller...could be a game killer for me otherwise.

playing it now. the controls take a minute to get use to. but it makes sense, due to the reliance on minions... maybe a tweak here and there.

The controls do take some getting used to especially if you are used to basic FPS controls. Its nice that they do give you full control over the camera you just have to remember to hit the left bumper. I wonder if it would have been better to have full control of the camera with Just the right thumbstick and then hit the Left bumper and use the right thumbstick for control of the minions? But I guess you will end up wanting to control the minions more then the camera. Not sure if you will be able to experiment with the control settings once the full game is released.

Other then the control getting used to thing I really liked the demo. It was what I expected and its good to know that you can actually kill Scarecrow Bob if you really want to. I still feel bad about killing the baby sheep....didnt stop me but I did feel bad.

I'm glad to hear that it's fun. There's probably a good reason that they made the controlls that way. It's very good that they allow full control with the left bumper. I'm excited for this game since I never expected it to be good.

This game was fun ! Hope the actual game is as entertaining as the demo. The only thing that bothered me a bit was the camera controls, but I guess that you get used to that soon.

this game demo is terrible. bad graphics, bad framerate, invisible walls,bad animations,camera control with triggers instead of the right stick. this is not worth the download. it is as bad as the hour of victory demo.

Some of the problems your having with the game will probably be fixed before the final product. I feel the demo does a good job of giving you a feel of what's going to happen.
