Eternal Sonata No. 1 on Amazon Japan

The Xbox 360, to put it mildly, hasn't fared terribly well in Japan thus far. Routinely selling only a couple thousand units every week, the 360 needs a serious kick in the pants if Microsoft hopes to make even a modest dent in the Japanese market. For this reason, it's heartening to see an Xbox 360 game claw its way to the top of the Amazon Japan bestseller list. The game in question is the Namco Bandai RPG Eternal Sonata, known as Trusty Bell in Japan.

i agree, it will prob have a short burst like Blue Dragon dide but sales for the game will prob be strong and it will most likely have a better reception in NA and Europe.

Lost Oddysey is their flagship KRPG so we'll see what that does

Hey, little by little. MS is stiring up the waters in Japan. Sure nothing special but they are making Japan look at the 360 as a gaming machine. I'm sure by the next generation of consoles Japan will look a little better at the xbox

Not only FPS but RPG's and racers, you see what's coming out this year? TONS of AAA titles.

Although I was looking forward for some PS3 games this year for my lovely PS3 it seems it wont be getting anything since all the games I want are now 360 games.

This game aint comming out on PS3, that ersb site made the error and corrected it. this is also the same site that listed san andreas 4 the gamecube but that was a mistake too.

i hope ms keeps this game exclusive, that way MS can build their own IP not just grab once ps2 franchises. ms needs its own identity in japan. sony is FF,DQ sereis etc , nintendo is zelda and mario

if more of them come to 360 , I think MS has a decent chance, while it might take a long time.

Hey it took along time, when Toyota came to the states, to ESTABLISH its BRAND-NAME and QUALITY. Toyotas used to be sh!t cars. Same goes for HONDA. Even HYUNDAI is getting better after years. The QUALITY of MS's consoles will get better, as is with every Console maker. The brand-name will solidify itself enough, if Good games come out.

Then again when was the last time we have 3 Big name Consoles fighting for Market-share all at once?(let alone all three have great Strengths/Games) Well it's been a while, if Ever...

I'll probably et this game because, I've been feening for a RPG. Blue Dragon and this one might be next, as far as the 360 goes. I'm glad MS is able to sell 1 extra console, hey nobody ever said this was gonna be an easy up-hill in Japan.

I want to point out that Amazon japan does not have the market strength as in amazon US and amazon UK. We seen this before and yet XBOX 360 still hovering around 2.5k per week. so what's the point.

its a really good looking game.. I dont know anything about story or gameplay but RPG is my Fav genre.. :P

but Blue dragon sux as hell imo(I see a complete HD clip about gameplay..)... eternal sonata is amazing (in term of art and graphic )..
