That MS fans defend this type of development. All they did here was put a little different lighting on the old game and packaged it for full retail. This is worse than the Rainbow Six Vegas crap that Ubisoft pulled a while back. More of an update than a new retail game.

You may be used to it...
You may blindly run out and blow another $60 for what looks to me like the game I already own...
You may even like being lied too in FAKE Shot after FAKE Shot from Turn 10, but gamers with a healthy respect for the truth who don't see any reason to waste $60 that could be spent on a NEW game, that is REALLY new, not a bunch of FAKE PHOTO's & PR...Don't like being lied to.

- I have Forza 2, and wanted to believe this really was much better.
- Turn 10 told me to believe.
- Turn 10 even showed me glossy photo's to make me believe.

What I believe now is simply one thing...
Turn 10 is a Liar.

Would you give a similar comment for a comparaison between Gran Turismo 3 and 4 ? At that time, people could have give the same comments : the same tracks looked exactly the same, the only slight difference was in the cars. In reality Gran Turismo 4 was a lot better on new tracks.

In Forza 3, the cars don't have the same hard sunlight reflection on top of the car but do you prefer that ? (people were complaining when Forza 2 was out that this light was not quite realistic)
In short, having played the demo (and having Forza 2), I can tell you that the graphics are a big improvement: new tracks are really gorgeous and cars have really less aliasing.

On the other hand, Forza 3 is here compared with Forza 2 which is, to my eyes, actually the best racing game (NFS is not as pure and polished).

Your question about comparing GT3 & GT4 in fact really proves the validity of comparing Forza 3 & 2! Yes...I would & I have compared the two GTs. Now I'm comparing Forza.

Forza 3 is definitely not a "big" improvement in graphics...anyone looking at these screenshots, myself included often had to look for the logo to tell if the shots are from 2 or 3!

A big improvement would have been if Turn 10's shots paraded around everywhere where in fact NOT FAKE.

The truth is, you where lied to. I was lied to. EVERYONE was lied to.

I'll reserve final judgment after renting Forza 3, but everything besides the fake Turn 10 shots 7 ridiculous Turn 10 PR points to the actual game being nothing more than Forza 2 - Regurgitated into a new $60 box.

I can get Forza 2 for just Turn $10 & plus what is actually a NEW game for the $60 i'll save adjusting the brightness & contrast myself...

I've also played both Forza 2 and Forza 3 and, yes, there is some improvement, but not the spectacular visuals Turn 10 lied about.

The interiors of the cars are ugly as hell for one thing.

Basically, spin it however you like, the game is not as advertised.

Why ps3 games are not compared? Well these get released once a year so we have to wait for their exclusive games to turn up. In the meantime we not only enjoy MP games but also exclusives. Sorry ps3 only owners just wait for their exclusives since 99% of MP are better on 360 and anyway sony lovers dont like anything which is on another cheaper console.

Foxgod, you're gonna get these types of articles regarding a game that's touted as definitive racer and best graphics but underdelivers. You know, the arrogant statements? Like Heavenly Sword couldn't be done on dvd and only possible on blu-ray, but hey it was only like 6 hours long. Or how Sony did this before and the media lashed at them with a lot of articles too - the whole get two jobs to purchase a PS3. Irony that some people had to get two jobs in this economic downfall to purchase a PS3. KZ2 was getting this kind of backlash too when the first leaked images came out. Media was comparing it left & right against the CGI E3 trailer. Fortunately enough, GG was able to deliver a game that's on par with the trailer and in some cases exceed expectations.

If you have a PS3 and are just gloating over this controversy...go play a game -- I'll meet you in the Uncharted 2 multiplayer deathmatch...(prepare to die)

I'm trying to decide if I should buy Forza 3.
At this point these comparisons have helped tremendously. So far, it looks like I already BOUGHT Forza 3, when I bought Forza 2!

I'll still rent 3, but if it's not worth $50 more than what I already have in Forza 2, I'll just spend that on a REAL game.
