OXCGN's Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 XBLA Review

OXCGN:

"Marvel vs Capcom 2 returns to the Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA) as one of the true classic fighting games. Now sporting an online mode, the question is does Capcom's classic fighter still have the legs to be a fighting powerhouse in today's saturated market of fighter games?"

Way too many actually, just like disc based games. Now if we all had $$ to burn, and 36 hours in a day, we might be able to play about half of them . . .

4 - Fighting games on 360...
I have all the 3 consoles, but got to say I hate the 360's d-pad, especially for fighting games. Must be even more difficult with fast-paced 2D fighters.

When o when will we get the perfect controller? 360's has great triggers and bumpers for shooters and is molded really comfortably but with a bad d-pad, whereas the PS3 controller has a great d-pad but annoying symmetrical positioning of the thumbsticks (most common control on the pad is the left thumbstick, so why not position it where the thumb naturally rests - the top left?) and slippery / spongy triggers that are hard to grip.

Take the 360's ergonomics and layout, combine with PS3's d-pad and rechargeable battery = ultimate controller for almost any game genre including fighters.

Yeah 360s Dpad isn't very good, luckily Hori sticks are available :P

Yeah, the D-pad is the first thing to stick or break. Luckily it's not excessively needed for most games.

But despite that flaw, I think the 360 controller is the best controller I've ever played with.
