And guess what...we never known a "definitive racing sim" to have body damage before Forza...and guess what, now the GT series is making sure to add/flesh it more......after years of being requested. But in reality, by your logic...no definitive racing sim should really ever progress.....if its always going to be based on the outdated perception of a definitive racing sim. Its not okay to have a rewind feature...but its okay to have red/yellow/green arrows on the ground that tell you how to take a curve or when to brake and hit the grass? But before I get cared away...allow me to point out the fact that its not a mandatory feature....so you are blowing smoke about an extra featured added to a game, that you don't have to use.

Ohhh....and if sims don't have rewind, why would the FAA approve flight simulators with the rewind feature? Could it be that instead of having to spend minutes going through a single section to get back to a particular point..that you can rewind and spend seconds tweaking areas that need change? Do you really think that if a pilot crash lands.......that they have to start completely from the beginning every time?

It's all part of making the game more accessible to those who wouldn't normally be interested in a sim racer.

It should also help to increase the size of the sim racer market.

It's not really a feature I'd expect in a sim racer but it's not doing any harm either so it's all good IMO.

uh... how can you compare totally restarting the game with just rewinding a mistake that you make in a split second. its like in a fighting game, you can rewind whenever you miss a fireball or you didn't get your opponent with a 10 hit combo, it just doesn't work that way. i mean you can restart the match and play fair and square again, but rewinding?

One that can be turned off and on. The higher you put the difficulty in the previous Forza games the less assists you had. The host online could even lock the options. Everyone is making it sound like it will open all the time. Hell it was in DiRT and didnt seem to bother anyone.

you are penalized for using it. It will show up on your stats and you will get laughed at by your friends. But if you suck and don't give a s&@#, you can use it.

I have never completed a racing sim because I will crash after a 20 lap race in the later races of games and dread the restart. If this rewind feature would have been there in those long ass races, I might have finished GT1, GT2, GT3, GT4, Forza 1, and Forza 2.

Anyone who believes that the gameinformer poll actually represnts a 54% failure rate for the 360 is a complete moron.

This just in, i conducted a poll of 5000 people (same amount of people used in the gameinformer poll) and asked them how many had to pay over $200 to have there PS3's fixed after the 1 year warrenty had expired...results show that 100% of all 5000 people had to have their PS3's fixed and paid for it as well.

What you don't believe me...what you are saying that all the people i polled were 360 fanboys who lied in the poll. Well sucks to be you if you don't believe me, since you want to believe gameinformer.

Those are racing cars. They don't represent the road car since racing cars have been adjusted thus do not reflect the manufacturing of the vehicle itself. Therefore it's easier to get the vehicles into a game with damage...aka why 88% of the cars in GT5 will not have damage since they are manufactured cars and the manufacturers don't want their cars looking like they take damage and are very hard to convince otherwise, KUDOS to Turn10 who i am sure had to pay a lot of money to get the approval from them....The race cars in GT5 will have the damage.

The main reason why most games dont have Porsche licence is because Porsche is the most sucessfull car company in the world in terms of racing. so to aquire the license if the hardest and the most expensive.Now Turn 10 is able to aquire the license easily because Microsoft has a great relationship with Mercedes benz and The Volkswagen group due to Microsoft suppling Mclaren/Mercedes,Audi and Porsche all the software that they use to simulate aero dynamics,engine management systems etc for their racing cars.

Thats why Forza 3 will incorporate real F1 data from McLaren/mercedes to simulate dirty air and Tire Flex http://www.computerandvideo...

Turn10 simply tapped into the relationship that Microsoft have with all the Auto manufacturers.
