-What the PS3 faithful fail to tell you is that many of those cars in GT are very similar iterations of each other. The actual diversity of distinct vehicles makes the two games quite comparable. Not to mention if you just want iterations of the same cars, Forza 3 has a deep customization aspect that allows you to change a lot about the way your car looks and performs. In any case, using a detached metric like number of cars to somehow decide how good a racing sim is is silly. You have to look at the whole picture.-

because it definitely has more than 5 years of a honda civic. And the same EXACT Porsche models with different liveries..but not only that, they are lower polygon, and only 7 can race you at once, With GRID's definitive rewind feature. Do you really want me to cut & paste the multi year every vehicle? Do you really think Turn10 wouldnt' want more cars than a PSP game for their "Definitive" racer? I just love the logic here. The second any story on N4G says "FORZA3: More cars than GT?" You'd trip over yourself rushing in to go to the open zone to type "LOL ITS OVER!".

GT has multiple year cars, in amazing fidelity. Is it easier to render 15 honda civics with the same amount of polygons on a screen or something? Because its the same model.. is it some how no longer needing to be rendered? Is there some sort of cheating of the customer? What exactly is the response from you guys about multiple year vehicles, even though again, forza2/1 all have multi-year same model vehicles. As any sim should. So you can play your exact year/model in the game. Much like all things, you can choose to drive every year civic, or whatever else you want. Including the model T, f1 vehicles, rally vehicles, and god knows what other vehicles.

I know you guys want to pretend that having too many cars is a bad thing, but it isnt. Its why GT is a 50 million franchise.

The trim levels are different, as are the specifications for the vehicle. You'd know this.. but unfortunately the only people that were interested in Forza2, were interested in the 360 bundle it came with, and are more than likely not car vehicle enthusiasts.. else you'd at bare minimum respect the reason why you have multiple year cars, with multiple different bodies, for people that love that specific car.

Turn10 is giving it a good shot, the photomode looks great. But so did the bullshots of F2 before the game surfaced with *gasp* no 12xAA/Depth of Field/Object blur etc.

GT has more cars. Its kind of the end of the discussion when you look at:

Yeah.. look at that.. thats all forza has right? Because we can only judge a sim on the number of duplicates it has. I think its safe to say that both games try to appeal to a wide audience of racers. But just that other games aren't restricted by DVD/Rushing to not add more vehicles racing at a native 1280x1080p @60fps resolution at once without adding anything other than Arcade features to make it easier to play.

Did I really just see a "WINGSWEST" civic, yet an anniversary version of a vehicle is just padding a list right?

please dude. Just stop. GT has deep customization as well, just as GTR, Rfactor, and well any driving game. Forza isn't re-inventing any wheel when it comes to #3 that 2 didn't do, and it sure as hell isn't unique to let you change a camber.

I just posted years of the SAME EXACT VEHICLE with different paintschemes, yet you want to pretend that you can just say "deep customization"(of professionally tuned vehicles lol) and it will hold up to anything? Please. Is this the new excuse by the way? Because I haven't seen it online yet. Don't try to bash a game by saying it has multi-year vehicles.. when the same game in question has.. multi-year vehicles..

Half of you don't even know how to tune a vehicle, which is why Turn10 decided to add, much like GT, an arcade mode for beginners. With dumbed down physics, braking assists, and traction assists. Then upped the anti by adding a "just steer" mode, combined with a movie player and rewind. Your exaggerations are so sad. GT's vehicles are higher detail, and theres more of them.

Forza would be a bigger franchise if people really cared about painting a swastika on the side of a Dodge neon. Painting is a great feature, but you don't see anyone on rennlist painting Vida Gurrera on their brand new Turbo. You get custom paint jobs that have significance, as in vehicles with great history that had the color.

400 is less than 401. Its just as simple as that, no excuses needed. Because they sure as hell don't make any sense. Racing isn't all about painting and tweaking. Its about driving your damn vehicle faster than the next person. Thats why people can love civics, and have huge communities. They aren't all drooling over a ferrari. its great, its capable, but you still love YOUR car.

Instead of calling names use firefox with Adblock Plus and popup blocker (Ads and popups are the main culprits of spyware and viruses). I have firefox with both adons and I havent got a virus or spyware from a website with 2 years now. The only viruses I saw in two years was from downloaded torrents but my antivirus stopped it.

I do use firefox. Anyways, I know this wasn't intentional, but I literally spent the entire night trying to fix the situation. The virus was intelligently designed because it wouldn't let me get onto the internet for more than a few seconds before it told me that there was spyware on my computer (the virus was telling me there was a virus). I downloaded AVG but it didn't work. So I had to do a destructive reboot.

That must explain Forza being the higher rated series every since becoming a franchise. Just like Forza 3 is going to be higher rated than Gran Turismo 5, just like Forza 2 was higher rated than GT5: Prologue(much higher rated) and just like Forza was higher rated than Gran Turismo 4.
