PSU contacted Blitz Games about upcoming title Possession and found that the game has been put on official hiatus.
The game's engine used Natural Motion's Endorphin Engine, a unique and innovative animation system that allowed for game characters to react realistically to their environments and never show the same animation twice.

1.1 - Rememer...
You guys need to remember though that was E3 05. So I am sure that since then the graphics has seen an overhaul.
I think the reason its been shelfed is that the developers never found a publisher.

7 - No Endorphin??? NO!!!
This was one of the earliet games that really got me hyped for next-gen! I can't believe they halted development!!!!
Here's a refresher course for those who don't know...
A couple of videos. To the right is one I remember. There are also a couple on the first page that give a decent impression of gameplay.
http://media.xbox360.ign.co...
The game originally had the player commanding an army of zombies. Basically, you just ran around, ordering 100's of undead to eat/kill/destroy whatever you wanted. You could also "possess" people and use that to trick the army trying to take you down, or take whatever guns/bazookas/flame throwers they were carrying.
All in all, it sounded like a blast. But the BEST part was the animation technology they were going to use. Frankly, I'd want this thing in Madden even if it meant they had to downgrade the already crappy graphics.
It's called Endorphin, and why nothing has used it yet for gameplay, is beyond me. (though the upcoming Indiana Jones title is supposed to) This animation tech requires no motion capture, and it never repeats. No action, is ever the same! And it was supposed to be used in Possession---It's a shame they cancelled it.
Imagine animation like this in Madden/2K Football--Or any other game for that matter!
If you haven't seen Endorphin, WATCH THIS!!!!!!
