Well if it's free like the L4D stuff cool I'll download it but if it costs anything I'll pass because I own the PC version too.

I heard Valve wanted the OB update on 360 to be free but M$ wants to charge for it. I heard the same thing with Gears of War that JB wanted the map packs to be free for loyal fans but M$ charging away.

Yeah, Valve's always been pushing the free DLC mantra, so if it does turn out to be $10, blame Microsoft.

Agreed. I really don't think there are "Valve fans" on the Xbox. I mean, it's probably just another game for them to play off and on. I really don't know what I would have played if it weren't for TF2 the last two years. I've spent so much time on Team Fortress 2 since September of 2007, I could probably navigate all of the maps blindfolded. Yes, all 26 or so of them.

Lot of phantom disagrees floating around. Honestly, at this point they should just wait until all 9 classes have been patched and release it all at once, with all the maps they put in the PC version.

Then again, if you're still playing the 360 version of TF2 you need to do yourself a favor and go buy the PC version. It is infinitely better.

Anybody know if or when Half Life 3 is coming? I'd rather have that than TF2.

Half-Life 3 isn't coming any time soon. 2015 is sill pushing it.

If you mean Half-Life 2: Episode 3, I'd say early to mid 2010.

well it sucks because there is nearly noone playing it in XBL. I bought Orange Box more than a year ago for 360, hoping to play TF2 in XBL but... noone played it even that time.
Kotaku made an australian family game night event yesterday for TF2, but noone came again. why? because it's doubleXP weekend in GoW2 >_<

He has a vendetta against the 360, he praises the PC versions of MS exclusives at the expense of the 360 and 360 fans in every article relating to MS exclusive titles. He also comes back to check on how many people he has agitated.

Who, me?

If so, I'll re-phrase that:

I don't think there are TF2 fans on the Xbox.

Panda is right about that fact.

There's like 40 people playing in total right now, I just checked.

Different games usually work best on one platform or another.

You've got 2100 TF2 servers on the PC. About 900 of which currently have users playing in them.

Compare that to what M337ING said (provided he's telling the truth), I'd say that there's not much in the way TF2 fans on the Xbox 360.

And I have no vendetta against the Xbox 360 personally. I just don't like consoles. For me, playing an FPS with a controller is like cutting off my legs at the knees then making me run the 100 m dash. I don't mind driving games and other controller friendly games though.

9.6 - what?
I agree with the first poster, I will believe it when I see it.
Paying for the Dlc will not bother me; I would not consider it to be capricious to spend 10 bucks on of something I really want.
Yeah there are plenty of people on my friends list that I have played TF2 with on the 360 for the last year and a half(+), we still have an active group of players and I can always find a game. I also bad rep (lack of skill option) any one that is modding a match that I join so I never see their name again in the "host" list; which btw greatly diminishes my encounters with modded maps. I have emailed gaben@valvesoftware.com at least 3 times, and I have actually received this as a response:

"We are trying to solve this problem so we can keep Xbox customers just as current as PC players."

I have enjoyed Valve games since the first HL so I guess i will give them the benefit of the doubt..for now

10 - Valve really doesn't need Xbox (or PlayStation)
Steam is crapping money for Valve.

Valve's contempt for consoles -- both Xbox 360 and PS3 -- is obvious.

Valve is doing Xbox 360 gamers a big favor by even bother to port their games to a console. The only reason Valve is working on Xbox 360 is because it's easier and faster to port PC games over to Xbox 360 than to another console.

Valve doesn't even want to bother with PS3.

i can only hope and pray...until then the only reason the orange box is getting booted up is to show portal to a friend who hasn't played it yet.

I think they might be bringing out as a seperate game for the XBLA like they did with Portal: Still Alive on the Arcade.

I BF 1943 works, they may well be bringing it out with all the updates and we don't even have to slip in The Orange Box to play it.
