I've been meaning to give it another try recently, too. I haven't played since the first major title update. I actually have a day off work this weekend for once, so I should have some time away from my usual evening TF2 shenanigans on PC.

I bought the Special Edition (for a cheap price), after having sold the regular one for being upset with the matchmaking, and it's still the same crap.

The longest I've had to wait is 5min and this is the most extreme case. Usually it takes all of 1 minute.

Do you get double Xp for sitting in matchmaking screen? Seems to me that is where i spent most of my time, which was a short period maybe have 1 hour locked up in Gears 2 multi. Gears 2 is about as bad as MGO.

Same here and I get a disagree lol Some days the matchmaking doesn't work And other days when it DOES work I have to wait about 2 minutes for it to find a match then when I do get into a match everybody quits. WTF!

And they wont solve it so im waiting for GoW3...

6 - The Cr@p epic does just to get people to play this broken title.
Don't sell me new maps (that are not intergraded into common play), bundles that include maps that I just paid for, extra experience and line of crap that doesn't wash clean. Just fix the game!

Like I said in my previous post on Gears 2 online, finding a match in Gears 2 is faster than it was when the game first came out. But of course, when the match starts, "Who wants lag cake"? Thats why when I do play matchmaking, I always host a private match because it seems to be less laggy. I am a huge Gears fan, but its really not that hard to admit that Gears 2 online is REALLY BROKEN.

Man I miss Gears 1. Good times.....

I gave up on gears of war 2 on January 6, 2009 why i got the rrod on my xbox i left it there and moved on to my black beauty PS3 forever.

9 - Took a break
I stopped at level 50, but will get back into the game. I dont know what it is, but I have never had trouble getting matches. Some people are just pissed that they cant use the same exploits and tactics that they used to dominate online with in the first Gears, sort of what went on with some people transitioning from Halo 2 to Halo 3. Not to say it doesnt have flaws, being standby'd is one of the most frustrating things imaginable, but that is a testament to the community that plays the game as much as it is of Epic.
