The graphics look great for both games. But we all know that when it comes to racing sim the most important aspect of the game is gameplay. Until we actually play them I can't tell which one will is better.

Forza just looks move vibrant. The colors aren't muted, the road actually have texture to it, not just a flat gray and the sounds are just so much more robust.

Forza looks more vibrant? Have you ever owned or seen a car? They sure don't look like Forza cars. Forza cars look so glossy. It's like they're trying to fake lighting like in Gears. It looks unrealistic. And those grass textures were so flat.

Surprising. Seeing as there's only ever 8 cars on a track at any given time, compared to GT's 16 on a track at any given time. Forza also runs at lower resolution than GT.

Arcade racers don't require the background processing real Sims need. I wonder if GT5 will really have *cosmetic damage* since they showed CGI damage footage. I wonder how this cosmetic damage in GT5 will effect how the game *really looks* once they *really show* GT5. As expected, Forza 3 looks good, but then you see GT5 and you're gobsmacked at how good it looks. Forza 3 is directly competing with GT, the devs have said so themselves, and it doesn't look as good.

But again as expected, all the xbox fanboys are now making excuses for the games "vibrant" colours. If you want "vibrant" colours go play Gripshift, I said it before and I'll say it again Forza 3 had no chance of standing up to GT, ESPECIALLY in terms of graphics.

GT, the real driving simulator, everything else is just not as good.

Edit: Also this isn't a brilliant comparison, it's just the two trailer of the games.

I think Sony are planning a surprise release with a Bundle/PS3 price drop/Slim PS3 around october to count for all the times they delayed other promised PS3 games.

They both look really good!. However I think the oversaturated colors in Forza makes i look less realistic. GT5 looks more real.

Also if you look closely at all the Forza vids you will notice that none of the cars exhibit body roll when turning and landing after being airborne.

Look at The GT5 videos for the same thing and you will notice the opposite. I think it is fair to say that, judging by this video, GT5 has always, and will always have the physics lock down.

Honestly, I think the fact that the colors are too vibrant makes Forza look a little too flashy and less realistic. And that environment they are driving in looks like they got the animators from shrek working on it.

Don't get me wrong, I still consider myself a fan of Forza, I'm just a little disappointed that their biggest new feature is a movie editor. I was hoping they were going to do more to progress the series.

It's funny how the Forza fans are saying they both look good. GT fans are saying only one looks good. The movie doesn't lie. One gets called vibrant and colorful. The other gets accused of being CGI because it looks close to real life.

If there was no such thing as GT I would say Forza looks incredible. But instead we have another Killzone vs Gears battle and we all know how that one turned out.

One a side note....I would love to see what dragons car looks like and I would love to see his >4 banger go 0-60 in 4.7 seconds or handle .95g's

First half of the trailer they showed GT5:Prolouge footage. Second half they showed the real GT5, and i must say it looks almost real life. Forza looks good but it looks fake. And by fake, i dont mean "not realtime" i mean it doesnt look real.

Also as been said earlier, GT5 have 16 cars at once vs 8 in Forza, and GT5 runs at 1280x1080 vs 1280x720 on Forza. Pretty much beaten in every single area.

However, the reason you believe it is CGI is because it looks so incredible in the first place.

I played GT5P and I agree with those that say it looks photo realistic and some of this footage shown here is from GT5P and not GT5. Polyphony Digital has gone on record time and time again saying GT5P is not GT5. GT5 will have increased resolution, better textures and a rock solid frame rate.

With that said Forza 3 is a leaps and bounds upgrade over Forza 2 and I look forward to seeing it in motion on my display. I am a big fan of both and will pick up each launch day.

This will be my first time using a wheel for Forza 3. I pre ordered the Fanatec Porsche 911 and a new c0ckpit just for Forza 3. I have a G25 and playseat evolution that I used for GT5P. Having the best of both worlds is where it's at! When it comes down to it I know both games are going to be awesome fun for me and that's all I care about as a gamer.

Don't see nothing like that for the Forza Devs.

2) Polyphony Digital has an award that it gives out at SEMA every year to the best car in the show. Don't see nothing from Turn 10 at SEMA. The winner's car get's digitized and put into the game.

3) Logitech, the premier peripheral manufacturer has a "Gran Turismo wheel":

The best Turn 10's got is a racing wheel made by "Fanatec" that also works on the PS2.

The entire beginning is actual footage from both games...where they look almost identical except Forza kills GT in environments.
