It piqued my interest too. The first one you could drive offroad, but it was not very fun. If they live up to that concept art, this will be a great game indeed. I am huge fan of the first. The first time I read about it in Game Informer, I slapped the full money down on the preorder. Couldn't pass it up and for only forty dollars too.

4.1 - Not Official.
They haven't officially announced the game, however info found recently uncovered a lot of promising news and these images in fact. The game was on course to be announced at E3 but it wasn't set in stone and of course we now know it didn't happen.

So basically what I'm saying is these images and such do not confirm the games actually coming, until there's a proper announcement this is just fun speculation.

7 - What you see was originally for TDU
Believe it or not the offroad, better story, dynamic weather and night and day cycles was originally planned for TDU. Remember the first trailer with the Gallardo and the DB9, where it was sunny then it rained?

TDU2 should be the game they wanted TDU to be and better!

13 - it's not the game - it's the control lay-out ( or set-up )
Some racing games out there have a big problem with the control lay-out options ( some use the *right trigger { accelerate } *left trigger { decelerate } and *left thumbstick to steer to which I do hate with my life ) or ( *right thumbstick { up to accelerate/ down to decelerate } *left thumbstick to steer which I do prefer and base a big part of my judgement when liking a racing game for the sole purpose of being more intuitive )

I do hope all racing/driving game developer out there would have all this options available.

i would not say thats the problem, they just need to give everyone all the possible options.

For example, i like the first layout, using the triggers and left thumb stick to steer. I would not say there is a right or wrong to it. different people like different layouts. What is more intuitive to one person may not be to someone else. they just need to account for both types of people ( which most racing games do anyway, thought its been so long since i played TDU i can't remember if it did have the option ).

It took me almost an hour to drive one lap around the island. One of the best driving games I've ever played. I knew one guy that had over 6 Ferrai Enzo's.
