odst have NOTHING to do with the spartans. The spartans are superior in every way. The spartans only aren't as stealthy because that's how bungie designed the games. The ODST are sort of similar to the navy seals, or the SAS.

the ODSTs aren't Spartans, not even close. The Spartans are part of a special project where children were trained and genetically modified to be some supreme warriors. There were 2 or 3 Spartan projects (can't remember), and with each project, the quality of the Spartans produced dropped (armor quality, training) to get more Spartans on the field faster.

The Spartans aren't just more lethal than the ODSTs, they are totally superior, MasterChief, in one of the books, dominates a few ODSTs on him without breaking a sweat. I'm not too sure on how Bungie will handle the ODSTs, since in the books, they aren't really shown in a good light.

Hopefully reviewers don't get sucked in and rate on the hype this time round, unless of course it derserves a good score which I hope it does. How halo3 scored so highly is beyond me though. It really was lacking compared to other FPS.

maybe. I am a gameplay over graphics person but I do like to see amazing graphics. There are already alot of halo3 fans out there so i dunno if graphics is an issue. In my case, I thought Halo:CE was amazing, it did things that no other console shooter had done before. The gameplay was top notch. I just feel halo3 had lost its originality and cutting edge fun gameplay. Fair play to those who enjoy it though.

Come on guys, the graphics aren't that bad at all. In fact, they are pretty good overall. If you can enjoy a game like Resistance or FEAR you can certainly enjoy a game like Halo 3.

Halo 3 has above average textures and really outstanding HDR lighting. It looks better to me than Resistance and I still enjoy Resistance from time to time.

Besides, graphics don't mean much if the gameplay isn't good. And Halo 3 has excellent gameplay.
