1.6 - Looks like the bastard cousin of Kane and Lynch
Little skeptical of this game, it has a questionable release date(Nov. 30 is a dumping off point for a lot of games that can't compete w/ the heavy hitters but still want to get some holiday sales).

These are the first screenshots we're seeing, we still no next to nothing about this game and it wasn't even mentioned at E3.

The fact that the tropical setting is such a departure makes me wonder if they are trying to liken this game to Uncharted.

Not really, it doesn't look quite as good, at least in these screenshots. But where Naughty Dog really win is the character animation. I doubt Max Payne will match that

Agreed that Uncharted 2 looks like its going to bring it on all levels, perhaps even bring in the GOTY, but Max Payne has always been good and I dont think thats going to change.

So disappointing, not technically but stylistically. We loved Max Payne for it's cool overly noir style, by taking that away and turning it into another rugged mercenary type on a tropical island you're ruining everything that made it what it was.

I'd be all for them taking the franchise in a new direction but I wish we would have at least got one next gen Max Payne with the cool noir style before they went changing it.

problem is thast doenst feel like a max payne game, he should be in a dark dirty city, taking out thugs in allys and warehouses. not out in the sun in a jungle.

Uncharted 2 is my most anticipated game coming this year...

This game along with UC2,Ratchet & Clank Acit,Splinter cell conviction,Assassins creed 2 is a game that will get some good old fashioned playtime this Fall and Holiday season.......

I saw some nice art and some target renders at E3,more than what was shown in the GI mag......and it's looking like the real deal....More diverse than just jungle scenes,and the animation looks solid and quite smooth....

Wheres the NOIR?! =O wheres the NYC...the snow...i mean ok, times change, things change, move on.

But eh...this is ANOTHER game coming this winter that takes place ( or includes) favelas of brazil (MW2)...i hope it doesn't become the next "middle east" -_-

jesus christ, this looks very disappointing to me, Max Payne was always the game which had the most unique film-noirish gaming combined with action all the way.

This just looks like they're concentrating on gameplay rather than the film noirish story. To me this, looks like generic game (but i hope im proven wrong with new details), they need to bring the original elements back if they wanna win me over.
