I think big releases like a Gears, Halo, Killzone, Resistance and Uncharted, games that magnitude should always have a beta to ensure a smooth release but it's good to see Epic are still supporting the game and ironing out any issues the game might have.

The only criticism anyone can really have is that there was no beta, maybe they'll have it with the next iteration of Gears and tbh they should have one.

Can't complain about continued support though.

Epic didn't cook GOW2 long enough and look what happened...the game still has problems...I just stopped playing with it several months after it came out. It's a repeat of GOW 1 but worse. Next time cook the game longer Epic and you wouldn't run into these problems.

it still takes me a while to find games in gears 2 i wish they would properly fix that. its not as bad as it used to be but it does take longer than i feel it should.

I really like the continued support. I still have bugs, but its not that common anymore. Next time a public beta should be done 5+ months before Gears 3.

they know the game engine would have problems. they know the game could not handle 5 vs 5. if it could of handle 5 vs 5; why was it not in gears1...??? they updated the engine and still could not handle 5 vs 5. gears 2 is actually gears1. where in the fvck is my refund for this dlc game they call gears2...??? epic is taking the M$oft approach. fix it as you go along.. the hell with quality/just quantity and sales receipt. the fat man with the red beard has nothing to say about, when they are going to put back the 20% of content back into the game they took away... (10mp - 2p = 8mp) = 20% lost of gameplay.

when will EPIC release an update to have gears of war 2 a decent game ? why are there games always incomplete and riddled with bugs. seriously though, i like the ps3 exclusives because they often have high production value . i love gears of war but its flipping unplayable imo. why should i play a game and deal with constant lag , slowdowns and glitches when i can play majority of the ps3 exclusives with more people online , better graphics with no such issues.

i will admit that i prefer the ps3 because of more apps, exclusive games and high production quality games but i like gears of war style of gaming but i stay away from it because the online is rubbish .

look at windows 7...they've got themselves a product now that i'll definitely buy.

but betas don't always work...

look at windows vista...they had betas and an rc, and people STILL complained about it. because some people you just can't please, and some people are biased.

i never really had much to complain about gears or gears 2. glitches come and go, just be thankful that they make good on their guarantees. i believe the BBB should ding a company for not participating in open beta testing prior to releasing a game, it's only fair and should help to standardize the process.

after all, that's what good customer service is all about. maintaining an open door policy. look at halo 3, they had hired a whole building of beta testers!

Edit : Adds the ability to restart Public Horde from the current failed wave instead of having to start over from wave 1. Title Update 4 also allows the host to kick players from a Public Horde session.
