Karaoke Revolution may not have been the first name in the music-game genre, but it was certainly one of the more prominent and popular, before Guitar Hero and Rock Band caused it to explode. In fact, the developer that worked with Konami on the first KR titles was Harmonix, which went on to do the first Guitar Hero games before being bought by MTV and building the Rock Band franchise. In a matter of speaking, what goes around, comes around.
