Also graphics are great for an open world game, bu this is not the best looking game on 360. Also the gameplay doesnt look very special but set pieces can redeem that notion easily. Looks to have a load of potential.

I absolutely love the atmosphere in Alan Wake and coming from Remedy you just know that it is going to have an excellent plot.

The graphics rival most of the other top games, but Alan Wake is a huge 36 square kilometer open world game. Look how much detail the game has: http://xbox360.ign.com/dor/...

It is one of my most anticipated titles. I do hope they keep the gun play down to a minimum and focus heavily on the supernatural horror and survival aspects. I loved Condemned and hope that this keeps that feeling.

ForrestGump, take the fanboy goggles off. Alan Wake looks really great. I downloaded and watched the E3 demo several times and the framerate looks solid. You were probably just getting stuttering do to the streaming of the video.

Alan Wake is a psychological thriller, something Mr. King is not known for and Thomas Harris is. Not to mention both Luigi's Mansion and this vaporware feature an italian bland protagonist traversing spooky locales with the assistance of a flashlight

I guess your looking to be stupid.

The game is inspired by Stephen King and Twin Peaks, not Thomas Harris and LOL....Luigi's Masion.

It looks similar to The Mist/Storm of Century and other Stephen King supernatural stories of suspense where a writer is the lead character in many of his stories. It looks nothing like The Silence of the Lambs or Hannibal...Thomas Harris's work.

The fact that it is inspired by a Stephen King story doesn't dead my argument that Harris writes psychological thrillers (which this is) and King writes horror. Nor does it derail the fact that, like Luigi's Mansion, this campfire ghost story will be a giant letdown.

Who are you kidding, as Alan Wake really doesn't LOOK all that special. I am talking about just graphics here, in which the game looks slightly better than Alone in the Dark.

The gameplay may be good, but I don't think anyone can deny that it just does not look as stellar as lets say..UC2?

ps: If it really looks that great, it would have won some E3 graphical award. But it didn't.

No one cares about the graphics when the game is going to be this epic and is coming from Remedy, okay? I don't understand why you can't just appreciate games altogether. Just because some moron fanboy said, "Uncharted sucks, Alan Wake owns it" doesn't mean you should say something equally stupid. Two wrongs never make a right. If you were truly unbiased, then you would appreciate that both games will be great, instead of making childish comments.

Even if you don't have a powerful PC rig or an Xbox 360, doesn't mean you have to bash this game.

I really don't trust screen shots. Look at some of the official gears of war screen shots; the in game graphic is nowhere as good as shown in those shots.

The only way to tell if a game looks good or not is by watching the gameplay, simple. I didn't say Alan Wake looks bad, as I am just saying that it doesn't look impressive at all in the graphic department.

have a look at this stage demo of heavy rain .... they have some good facial textures and some really fluid animations ... which i think alan wake needs ... but the environment textures around the charecters in heavy rain are really not as good... especially in the garage sequence.. the cars look horrible... anyway have a look at that vid and compare with this one ... u'll see the differences

Don't bother with Obama. He's just a pissed of sony fan cuz he just realized that the 360 can hang in the graphics department. Heavy Rain at one point was seen as the pinnacle of graphics. Well now Alan Wake stomps all over it.

In the first gears of war yes

Second one know. Because the graphics are different for the single player in gears of war 2 then the nultiplayer. In the single player gears of war 2 shines.

The detail underground...inside the worm...The water....Gears of war 2 is up there on the best games list.

dont forget the fish monster .... that was the best fudging monster i've seen ... most games hype the monsters up and dont deliver .... like dead space and its "10 kilo ton mass detected in food storage" .... turned out to be a giant blob with tentacles... but the fish monster looked epic!!
